We recently connected with Jason Gandy and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jason thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
The biggest trend that is currently disrupting the social media and content creation industry is artificial intelligence. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has provided everyone with access to tools that can not only automate tasks, but also drastically increase speed and productivity. The introduction of AI will be highly beneficial for many people, but I believe it may also be a nightmare for others.
For business owners and entrepreneurs, implementing AI-powered tools allows for an exponential increase in productivity, while also saving time & costs. I’ve been using AI for my business since 2022, and the results have been amazing. Before implementing AI tools, the biggest problem I had with creating content was writing.
I’m not a natural writer, so it would sometimes take me hours to come up with titles, descriptions, newsletters, and other content. I was getting to the point where I really needed to hire a writer, but I decided to give AI a try. I’ve been amazed with the quality of the content AI can instantly produce, and no longer see a need to hire an employee for the task.
Which brings me to why I believe AI may be a nightmare for many people in the coming years. Artificial intelligence has the potential replace many jobs in almost ALL industries. People with professions that involve writing, coding, graphic design, research, and many others may be in trouble. Not only is AI more cost efficient, but also always available for use, and can produce high quality results instantly.
Artificial intelligence will either be a blessing or a curse for many. I advise everyone to at least look into it, and see how your profession may be affected by this new technology. I don’t believe AI will take over the world, but the people that start learning how to use it now just might.

Jason, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Jason Gandy, an online entrepreneur, YouTuber and e-learning expert. I’ve always had a passion for building successful online brands, and equipping others with the knowledge on how to do the same. I’m known as a top-rated online instructor, and founder of Quantum Courses.
Around 2004, I began selling products on eBay, which was my first experience with e-commerce. Online selling was still new, but I could see the potential for this new technology called the internet. I then moved to selling various physical products on sites like Amazon, Shopify, and many other online platforms as they emerged.
Around 2017, I launched Quantum Courses, which is a premier online education company teaching students the skills I’ve learned throughout my business journey. I am now a top-rated online instructor on several platforms, currently teaching over 40,000 students in 175+ countries.
I also run a growing YouTube channel that features hundreds of free tutorial videos on topics such as ecommerce and content creation. I originally got started on YouTube simply to market my online courses, but over the years, the channel has taken a life of its own. So far, my channel has reached over 2.5 million views with 30,000+ subscribers, leading to several amazing partnerships and brand deals.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My social media journey was somewhat unexpected. Starting out, I was simply looking for a way to market my online courses. I began uploading selected lectures from my courses to my YouTube channel, and after a few months of consistency, I noticed my growth start to accelerate. It’s been about 7 years since I’ve started my YouTube journey, and I am now at 30,000+ subscribers and growing.
For those just getting started on social media, there are several tips I would like to suggest:
First, you have to create content for a specific audience. This means you should niche down, and provide content that is relevant for that selected topic. (If you try to create content for everyone, you typically reach no one.) I recommend performing market research, and find a good niche that has enough monthly search volume to get adequate views.
Next, you have to create high-quality content. There is tons of competition on social media, and even more comes every year. The quality of your content is the most important factor in determining whether or not people will follow you. You have to make sure your content is informative, engaging, and visually appealing.
And finally, you have to post consistently in order to grow and connect with your audience. How often you post will be determined by the type of content you make, but you need to stay on a consistent schedule. The more often you post, the more likely you are to reach people and show up in their feeds.
Building an audience on social media takes time and effort, but it is definitely worth it. A strong social media following can help you to achieve your business goals, such as increasing brand awareness, generating leads, and driving sales.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creator is the ability to connect with people around the world and make a difference in their lives. When you create content that resonates with people, you can build a community around your niche and help people to learn, grow, and be entertained.
As a YouTuber and online instructor, I’ve been able to reach millions of students, and help them learn many new concepts and skills over the years. By providing valuable content, I find that I am rewarded with tons of loving messages, feedback and comments from my audience. The feedback that is received can be really uplifting, and help you push forward on your creative journey.
