We recently connected with Jasmyn Henriquez and have shared our conversation below.

Jasmyn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I founded Styled Thru Life, for women to feel ” Forever Styled, Forever Confident” it was important to me for customers to feel powerful in my clothing, not shield who they are from the world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

When I founded, Styled Thru Life, the main goal was for women to feel ” Forever Styled, Forever Confident.” I went through a divorce in 2019, and a medical diagnosis changed my outlook on my life shortly after. I took my power back, turning my fashion and lifestyle blog during my marriage into a Poshmark boutique that debuted in the Spring of 2019. My time with Poshmark grew a desire to change Styled Thru Life into a brand, a business, “ Forever styled, Forever Confident,” as a mindset for women wearing my clothing.

One thing I heard from women when I modeled clothing during my Poshmark time was hearing: “I wish I could pull that off.” I share with women that Confidence comes from within, sharing my story on the stages of loving myself and my body. I want to continue this within the Styled Thru Life brand.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?

Yes, I currently sell through my website Styledthrulife.com which Shopify powers. My main goal is to get my brand into Amazon; It has been a process for me to introduce my clothing to Amazon customers, along with keeping my clothing and accessories within an affordable price. Amazon has many pros that can steer Styled Thru Life in the right direction for 2023.

The con is the time for Amazon. I’m very excited to have a mentor, someone, to guide me within my Shopify store to assist me as I currently work on other goals for Styled Thru Life, including working on Tik Tok content. I pre-set content ideas and work on them by creating short videos and compiling them for a video.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

I am a woman who genuinely had to sit down and think about how I would purchase items for my eCommerce business. I applied for many grants early on, and it’s not as easy as it may sound. I currently use my funding to purchase inventory, power my website, and more, along with the blessing of local support, as any funds earned goes back into the business to keep going. As I apply for grants, I keep my why in mind; for many women who may have been in a similar place, I was in.

I have also entered the dropshipping space. However, I buy the samples from labels I know are better quality and fit within the ” Forever styled, Forever Confident” brand. My main goal is to continue to purchase wholesale and introduce my own clothing line into Styled Thru Life, showcasing my story within each collection piece. I’m currently working with a few designers I meet through a Facebook group to see how the designs and colors would work with my brand and vision.
