We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine White a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a customer success story with us?
I had to style a client for her book signing! She is a truck driver as well as an author so she had to give me total control which means trust the process in its entirety. She was not able to try on any of her items due to the fact that she was gonna be on the road until the day before. I shared mood boards of looks from head to toe for her to choose from and once she chose the look I ordered everything for her and when she got home from driving her truck on the road she tried her items on and everything was perfect! She was so happy with the entire outfit look and she definitely was the lady of the hour! She looked amazing!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jasmine White born and raised in the Southside of Richmond Virginia! I was raised by a single mother of 3. I have always had a passion for Fashion since a small girl. I was inspired a lot by my mom, my grandma ,and my fashion teacher in high school and when I got to high school is when i began to understand how it could be an actual career. I would go to school wearing things I made from around the house for example ketchup packet earrings, purses made out of denim and hostess cake boxes. After high school I went to the Art Institute of Atlanta to pursue my Fashion career although I did not complete college I came back home and started my own custom denim business called Norma Jean. I also sold clothes wholesale named my business C.R.E.A.M an online women’s boutique. I was trying to find my niche in the Fashion Industry while managing fashion retail stores. One day it hit me like Jasmine you love helping your customers get dressed why not style clients. So I decided to start marketing myself to become an amazing fashion stylist. And here I am! I style clients in my hometown mostly. My dreams are to one day style celebrities and be apart of fashion productions all over the world.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Consistency!!!!! I have did 30 day challenges! I stayed gaining my followers and engagement started going up!!! You have to be your authentic self! People love to see your day to day life and love when you share where you purchase items . So I give them all the gems and they love that.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My confidence! I’m not afraid to try anything I put my mind too! I’m not afraid to speak what’s on my mind and I start trends. Being unique and ok with whatever I choose to wear. People love to try something new after someone else has tried it. Also I became a popular fave in my city from working retail so I became known to be the Fashion Girl!
