We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine Upshaw a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents did a tremendous job raising me and instilling the values that I hold dearly today. Both my mother and father have a strong, hard-working mentality. That, combined with their hustle, drive, and ability to save a dollar makes the perfect combination for a go-getter. I would consider myself a go-getter because I have all of those qualities and more, thanks to my parents. I watched them work hard to provide for their family and make sure that I had everything that I needed, and I would love to give back to them, my other family members, friends, and my community.
Jasmine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Jasmine and I am from Atlanta, GA, born and raised. I began writing as a little girl and ultimately developed my skills into what they are today. I have over 15 years of professional writing experience with hundreds of documents written. I specialize in multiple areas of writing such as resumes, bios, music, scripts, etc. I am very passionate about all things writing and enjoy bringing mine and other people’s ideas to life.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best sources of new clients for me has been social media and word of mouth. Social media has helped to skyrocket my brand, followers, and website visits tremendously. It has helped me reach thousands of people through a single ad or post, and also has boosted service sales as a result. In addition to social media, I mainly gain new clients simply by way of referrals from clients that I have worked with in the past. I greatly appreciate my clients for spreading the word and recommending my services to individuals who may be in need.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We mainly keep in touch with clients through social media. If we have any specials or other events happening, it will be posted on all of the Smoove Sailing Services social media pages.
