We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jasmine Sullivan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jasmine below.
Jasmine, appreciate you joining us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Yes we take vacations every year. Some are longer vacations and some are weekend getaways. We travel full time in our RV across the country for my husband’s job. We’ve been to 23 states so far. Whenever we get to a new location, we try our best to vacation to surrounding states, along with our annual trips we go on each year. I feel like you need to make time for not only yourself, but your family too. You never know when it is your time to go, so make the best of it while you can.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Jasmine, most know me as Traveling Momma of 2. A little over a year ago I started posting on social media sharing our travels, tips on living in an RV, cooking and making a few cocktails.
Sharing my life on social media I hope to inspire other moms. A lot of my content is being a stay at home mom (day in the life, cooking, cleaning, homeschooling, routines, etc.) I know how tough it can be to be a stay at home mom and I hope I help other moms get in a better routine and just know it’s possible to do it. Living in a tiny space can make it even more challenging and connecting with other RV living moms has really helped!
I hope that I can inspire others to cook, travel, homeschool and to just get out of their comfort zone and do something they’ve never done before. A lot of people don’t know that I didn’t grow up with the typical “normal” family. I jumped from house to house for several years and tried to make the best of it. With that being said, I didn’t have anyone in the kitchen teaching me how to cook. So if I can whip a meal together, so can you. Practice makes perfect! Don’t give up!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my following on social media has been easy but challenging at the same time. Staying true to who you are and being real with your followers is the best thing anyone can do. Although my life is chaotic sometimes, I still get on live 3-4 nights a week to cook dinner. My followers get to see the true, unedited version of our life and I believe they appreciate that even more from us. We truly enjoy connecting with our followers, some have even became like family to us. One of the most challenging tasks of being a social media influencer would be creating content. You constantly have to keep up with what you’re going to post, finding new ideas, editing videos, etc. It can definitely get tiring.
However, so many are interested in our lifestyle, homeschooling, recipes and drinks so it does make it fairly easy to connect with our followers and new followers.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I don’t have a particular goal, but I hope to continue inspiring others to cook, try the rv life if possible, travel, homeschool, etc. I love connecting with others and listening to how our journey inspired them to try different things.
