We were lucky to catch up with Jasmine Sjöberg Sidibe recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I believe that without risk it can not be any success in life. I have taken many risks in my career and that is something I embrace. To move to a new place in the world – I have done that several times. You never know how you really going to adapt or if it is going to work at all. But one of the best risks I ever took was getting into modelling. It is known to be a hard career, difficult to make living and the competition is high. If I would have let that get into my mind I would probably never started and so much I would have missed out. I am very grateful that I took that risk because it was the first reason I started to travel abroad with my passion. I have had amazing experiences along my journey and I have seen places I could never even think about in the first place. Like the great wall of china for example. Modelling also connected me with many creatives all over the world. It has broaden my perspective and given me opportunities I could only dream of as a child. I am very grateful.

Jasmine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an international model and business woman who inspire people to travel, explore the world and to take care of themselves along their life journey. I have worked internationally and collaborated with brands on a global scale. I am a creator as a business woman who enjoy to write, sing and photograph. I got into my industry at the age of 14 and for me it has always been about following my passion and heart in everything I do. I believe that life is all about being joyful while we are here at planet earth and by being yourself and accepting yourself I belive you can achieve that. I have now released my first e-book with inspiration on my website – and more artwork will come. I have a blog where I write about wellness and travel destinations that I appreciate. Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
I believe that you have to believe in yourself. Then you need to have a lot of determination. The competition is high so your passion for your work needs to be big. You also need some “luck” along your journey. Show yourself and be ready when an opportunity comes and take it. You have to love what you do <3

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I love to read and I spend a lot time in the library and reading in my daily life <3. My favourite inspirational persons is: Oprah Winfrey, Jay Shetty, Mahima Lucille Klinge, Mel Robbins and Tony Robbins. They all have written amazing motivational books and they all have great video channels and courses one can attend. I am a person who enjoys self development and growth so I mainly read those kind of books in my life. Those people inspire me daily to be a better version of myself and go after my dreams <3
