Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Shannon Miggins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jasmine , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission is “There are no limits to success & once you start to believe that there are limits, your journey & road to success becomes limited”
As a wife, mom of two, pro dancer and the director of a Divison 1 College Performance Team, I can tell you multiple people have tried to tell me my journey is not worthy or that I can’t do it all.. Utilize those moments of doubt from others to stay motivated and to never give up on what you strive for that is in your heart. We have to remember your journey is YOURS & for my journey, I’m the only one living it, so why put the success or validation of my dreams in others hands?
I can say having mentors & a support group is very important because humility will allow you to vulnerably lean on those who you look up to & learn from those with genuine experience to assist in your growth.
When you know who you are and what you have to offer with God guiding, a lot of the chaos & statements from others become clear & He tells you what to listen to & what to ignore… respfectfully.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born & raised in the South Bay of LA where I started dancing at Lula Washington Dance Theatre at the age of 7. I knew I loved dance & continued to stick to it all the way up to my college tryouts. I then danced in college for 4 years & from there, went on to dance in the NBA for 3 seasons. As my journey continued, I moved back to Los Angeles & started the commercial industry in 2018 and have now been apart of it for 7 years. Throughout my journey back in LA, I got married and now have 2 boys that are my world!
With all that has changed from the beginning of my pro years to now, I prayed for more stability so I could see my family more & balance my work/life to ensure I can be the mom & wife that I always wanted to be.
In 2023, I received the opportunity to apply to be the Director of a Division 1 College team at my alma mater. I took the risk and after 3 months of interviews, I was offered the position. This was definitely a big decision I had to make, but it meant more time with my husband and kids & dedicated time educating & mentoring the next generation of performers.
This life change meant moving away from LA, which I also needed.
LA is my forever home but I knew I would end up back in Oregon where my love for self & my relationship with God really grew back when I was in college.
Now my full time work is mentoring & coaching my performance team, while my part time work is in LA. Since I’ve been directing my team, Ive performance managed a 2024 Coachella Performance, Performance managed a 2024 summer tour, Assistant choreographed a music video , Choreogrpahed performance routines for multiple NBA teams & more!
My contribution to the world of movement art warms my heart & I’ll continue to do all that I can as it aligns with me & my purpose.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Find creative ways to promote who you genuinely are! I think its all about enhnacing who you are and figuring out what works for your audience & digital presence.
Don’t try other things that work for other people .. focus on you & dont compare!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Lesson that I had to unlearn is that you only need to focus on one thing to be successful. A lot of the time, people will try to tell you there is only one way to get to where you want to go & I think that sometimes we get caught up in getting to where we want to go that we fail in listening to everything. Learn to know yourself and do whats best for you no matter what!
