Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
The Brown Body Bar was initially derived from my desire to create a more natural lifestyle for myself and my family. Initially, I focused on natural body products that I could use without concerns about what ingredients were incorporated. I added fresh pressed juices to my list of services offered and incorporated my spiritual-based knowledge into intuitive-led coaching. I became a certified transformation life coach to ensure I could operate with complete integrity. Doing this was the best thing I could’ve done for my business. I incorporated my spiritual gifts of discernment and perceptiveness to energy into my company, allowing me to be my most authentic self, leading to success.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I classify myself as a “mompreneur.” I am a former project management professional that transitioned to entrepreneurship in 2017 after leaving corporate to care for my children, who were struggling with various health issues. Doing this pushed me into a personal development journey that catapulted me into my true purpose: to share my intuitive knowledge and experiences to help bring balance to others. Our products are made with organic ingredients and with a specific purpose that benefits the physical and mental body. Our services allow clients to step into their purpose and be the best version of themselves by discovering their inner power.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients has been referrals and word of mouth. I’ve built up my clientele by simply accumulating recommendations from prior customers and clients.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I’ve built up a reputation within my market by doing local vendor pop-ups. Hosting events like this has allowed potential customers to sample our products and get to know us as a brand creating a unique and intimate relationship dynamic with each customer.
