We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine Sade a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine , thanks for joining us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?

It was early 2020 at the peak of Covid that my cleaning business had slowed down and I had nothing but time on my hands so I decided to bake cookies which has been a passion of mine since my early childhood days. With COVID-19 on the rise, Social media was also a huge thing considering that mostly everyone was home due to the virus. One day, I decided to post a picture of the delicious cookies and cream cookies that I had baked and someone commented on my post and asked me if I was selling them. I said you know what… why not? Next thing you know I was making $2000 a week from home baking cookies when you could barely find toilet paper at the stores and the rest is history. I realized that I had a hot product and relocated the following year to Atlanta to pursue my dream of opening a Blended And Baked Brick and mortar location.

Jasmine , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

The best thing about entrepreneurship is being able to turn my passion into a profit. I’ve been baking cookies since grade school so when my peers started asking if they could purchase my products, it was a no brainer. The name of my business is Blended And Baked because I blend different flavors and bake them together to create delicious gourmet cookies. I have over 30 flavors and counting. My top sellers are banana pudding cookies, strawberry cheesecake cookies, and cookies and cream cookies. If you’re on a diet, don’t try it. Guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds. There’s no way you can just have one. I love seeing the smile on my Customer faces when they try my cookies for the first time or anytime. That really keeps me going. I put my all into everything I do, including my cookies. It’s definitely like art for me and I think that’s what separates me from the others. During covid so many people lost everything. I’m proud of myself for being resilient and not giving up because that’s too easy to do. The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward and I’ve been working too hard to let opportunity pass me by.
