We were lucky to catch up with Jasmine Rice recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Transitions happen every day. Graduating college, starting a new job, getting let go from a job, experiencing a divorce or breakup, your kids going off to college. We all experience transitions in life and sometimes navigating those transitions can be overwhelming when you tackle it alone. After having experienced my own challenging transitions including a divorce and job loss all within a short period of time, I began transforming my mindset through neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and working on positive, forward-focused transformation.

Jasmine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Jasmine Rice is a Transformational Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, Best-selling author and Founder of Good Things Are Gonna Come, LLC, an integrated coaching business and aligned community aimed at helping women (and men) feel empowered as they rebuild their lives following challenging life transitions.
I understand first-hand how overwhelming it can be to work on personal transformation after having experienced life-altering challenges. After going through my own divorce that was followed with by job loss, I’ve learned a myriad of mindset strategies, coaching techniques, and emotional intelligence that I gladly share with my clients today.
Through Neuro-Linguistic Programming, I help my clients analyze and apply the thoughts, language, and behavior of successful people to help them reach a specific, identified goal. As a best-selling author, I share my story of healing after divorce and other challenges, while giving my readers guidelines for creating their own successful life recipes.
I offer 1:1 coaching packages, a one day intensive workshop, annual events and a free webinar on shifting your mindset.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I started my coaching practice, my focus was working specifically with divorced individuals navigating the next chapter of their lives post-divorce. What I found was that the women who were attracted to my services were still processing the grief of the divorce and not in a mindset to start moving forward with their next chapter–which is very natural when experiencing the challenges of a divorce. The clientele I wanted to market to were those several month or a year post divorce who were in the mindset to start their transformation. During that time I realized that my techniques could not only be applied to those transforming after a divorce, but to any challenging life transition. I pivoted my business to include working with women AND men who were adjusting to life after divorce, job loss, a long-distance move, or other life-changing events to create their own personalized recipe for transformation and success.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Success is the opposite of failure. False!
Fact: From quitting smoking to learning how to play the guitar, we succeed in life to the degree we try, fail, and learn from those experiences.
Studies show that people who worry about mistakes shut down, but those who are relaxed about “failing” or making mistakes, learn from them and keep moving forward. Success is built on failure.
