Hi Jasmine , thanks for joining us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)

When I am blessed with the opportunity to work one on one with people it is such a beautiful experience. When we actually sit down and experience each other we get to see the parallels of our lives as we are mirrors of each other and also take reverence in the differences we may have.The best advice I would say I have given a client is to give themselves permission to both remember who they once were and to get to know their present self. It is very easy to get caught up in our day to day lives and keep pushing forward but when we do this we eventually are often sat down with depression, chronic pain, fatigue and so much more. When we allow ourselves to actually process our traumas and day to day “inconveniences”, we are allowing ourselves the gift to actually free up space and heal from the inside out. This also gives us the chance to practice mindfulness daily and to dive back into practices that once grounded us on our journey of remembrance. When we allow ourselves the grace and patience in knowing that life is an ever flowing journey and it is not our job to know everything and do everything “right”, we allow ourselves the chance to experience true joy in this life.

My name is Jasmine aka Jasminesoulchild and I am a Jersey born and raised Reiki Healer, Herbalist, and Poet. I started OshunRoyalty originally as an instagram page in 2019 and in 2021 I decided to make it official. OshunRoyalty’s mission is to create a safe space where community can be fostered and healing can take place for your physical and spiritual body. Through our transparency about trauma and healing we hope to inspire others to use their voice boldly and without constriction to aid in their own personal healing journeys. Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

When you’re on the airplane they tell you if the oxygen masks come down always put yours on first before helping anybody else. I use this analogy daily because I find it to be relevant in so many ways. When it comes to nourishing yourself, taking care of your body, mind, and spirit it should be our first priorities because if we do not take care of ourselves we are essentially setting ourselves up for failure. As cliche as it sounds we can not pour from an empty cup and in constantly doing so we are teaching those around us that we are “low maintenance”. By taking care of ourselves and prioritizing ourselves first we are setting the precedent and inviting the nurturing and comforting energy we want to be surrounded by.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Word of mouth has definitely been an effective strategy. I am not one to constantly be on social media regarding my business, however because of referrals I am able to serve my community. I believe in taking the time to strengthen my skills and the services I provide and I find myself doing that more often that curating post for social media. Although I would love to find a balance of honing in on my skills and posting right now word of mouth is most effective.
