We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine Gant a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jasmine thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
Influencer marketing is on the rise and growing by the day. Consumers value sales from those that they can touch and feel close to. Businesses are increasing their influencer marketing budgets and seeing real success. Influencers are also taking advantage of this shift in marketing by maximizing their social platforms and build strong communities that will respond to their CTA’s

Jasmine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Evergreen Creative Studio comprises women with backgrounds in creative or financial fields. Our business goal is to support small business owners with the confidence and marketing tools to enhance their products or services. We provide a full range of services, including social media management and video editing. Because our team is so diverse, we also offer UGC content for brands. The group started with our owner, Jasmine, who provided video editing services to influencers; as the demand grew, her closest friends jumped in to help complete the team with design, accounting, and influencer expertise.
Evergreen works to empower business owners with education and marketing to help develop the brands into income-generating, profitable businesses as quickly as possible.
Our team of friends turned family, thrives on the opportunity to help other women take advantage of their unique opportunities in business and marketing.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
I’ve always enjoyed creating content. But, during the pandemic, I had way more time on my hands. After losing my job, I contacted a few influencers I had previously supported and asked if they needed help. Most of them needed someone to cover video editing, and I immediately agreed. I started to notice that my income became more than my full time. That’s when I realized that I could quit my job. I didn’t leave my job immediately, but I began to put things in place to move toward pursuing creation full-time.
I started with the general business things of getting an LLC, then a bank account, then building an income plan. As time increased, I hired help, changed my models, and worked toward getting business funding. While Instagram portrays the glamorous life of an entrepreneur, it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There are definitely a lot of perks and the ability to build your own schedule, but, in my experience, you have to grow to this kind of freedom. I think it’s important for new business owners to understand that the initial years will be consumed with developing your brand and your consumer market.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I’m a big fan of project management tools, and DUBSADO has been a fantastic tool for my business. I’ve had the ability to manage a client from the beginning to end and keep track of templates, leads, communication, and finances all from one system. If you’re running a small business with a limited team, I would strongly encourage utilizing a project management system.
I’m also a huge proponent of education so, if you’re looking for free resources to learn more about your field, LinkedIn provides a plethora of courses for free.
