We were lucky to catch up with Jasmine Cruz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
I took a risk after a major life event in my own personal relationship. Instead of allowing my experiences to destroy me and my relationship. I decided to turn it into my biggest flex.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Many of us are living day to day in ordinary relationships just passing time. We don’t unlock the ability to be who we really are even with those we engage the most. Simply because we don’t have the most important relationship grounded; the relationship with YOURSELF.
As someone who has been in a long-term relationship for over 15 years, and has studied the science of relationships for 8 years, I understand why so many people struggle to connect or remain connected.
My main mission is to teach women relationship intelligence so they can have the fulfilling relationships they want and keep their love tank full.
What’s the Key to success? A healthy, flourishing Relationship. Often times we think that success is separate from relationships. However, it is a reflection of them. From our formative years to adolescence and into adulthood, relationships contribute to how we manage our lives. Many of us are living day to day in ordinary relationships just passing time. We don’t unlock the ability to be who we really are even with those we engage the most. Simply because we don’t have the most important relationship grounded; the relationship with YOURSELF. Whether you are a parent needing direction with your child, a spouse that has hit a plateau or a an employee that has lost the drive to find fulfillment in your career, I am here to help.
As someone who has been in a long-term relationship for over 15 years, I understand the need for guidance. I have done extensive research and gained valuable life experience that I am eager to share with you. Think of me as a resource, full of tips and advice on how to navigate your own relationship. I’m here to help you with all the “how-to’s” and “what-to-do’s”.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I was kicked out at 17 for being gay. That moment took me a young girl to an extraordinary woman with in seconds. I had to learn quick “how to be in relationship” with others. My resilient nature became more mature when I realized I had no choice but to learn for myself what that would mean. Now that same relationship that was meant to destroy me, became my biggest flex.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lessons I had to unlearn is trauma is the only way you define who you are. I turned my traumas into my testimony and decided to become a certified relationship coach and teach other woman how to become relationally intelligent.
