Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Bledsoe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t necessarily change when I started Joviality Designs, but I do wish I had stayed more consistent. I launched my business in 2017 during one of the most emotionally difficult seasons of my life. I was grieving multiple losses and trying to find my way through the weight of that pain. Creating beautiful things gave me something to hold onto—something joyful in the middle of sorrow.
Joviality Designs started as an outlet for my creativity and a way to honor the small moments that still felt worth celebrating. It became my therapy, my safe space, and eventually, my purpose.
If I had started later, maybe I would’ve been more prepared emotionally or financially—but I don’t think the passion would’ve been the same. Starting earlier might’ve given me a head start, but I don’t know if I would’ve had the vision or the depth I have now.
What I do wish is that I had believed in myself more consistently from the beginning. There were seasons I stepped back when I should’ve kept pushing. But every stop and restart taught me something. And today, I’m more rooted, more intentional, and more committed than ever.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Jasmine Bledsoe — founder and creative director of Joviality Designs, where we turn life’s meaningful moments into unforgettable experiences. I’m a graphic designer, event stylist, and creative entrepreneur based in Texas, and for the past 8 years, I’ve been using my God-given gifts to bring joy, intention, and beauty into people’s lives through events, custom creations, and digital products.
I started Joviality Designs in 2017 during a season of deep personal loss. I had experienced several close deaths back-to-back and was overwhelmed with grief. Designing became my outlet — my therapy. It gave me something to pour into, something that brought joy not just to others, but to me. What started as simple party favors and event help for friends has now grown into a full-service creative brand.
Joviality Designs specializes in:
• Event planning & décor – from birthdays to memorials, we create intentional, joy-filled celebrations
• Custom party favors & bundles – including personalized bags, shirts, and keepsakes
• Graphic design services – like obituaries, invites, signage, and branded content
• Digital products – Canva templates, e-books, party guides, and printable affirmations
We solve real-life problems for our clients — like making celebrations stress-free, creating high-impact visuals for life’s biggest milestones, and helping people express their stories through design. Whether it’s helping a mom create a magical birthday on a budget, supporting a grieving family with dignified memorial pieces, or mentoring other small business owners through branding, my work is rooted in service, compassion, and creativity.
What sets Joviality Designs apart is heart. Every detail matters to me because I know how much these moments matter to my clients. I’m not just here to decorate — I’m here to hold space, solve problems, and elevate the experience. I pride myself on being versatile, reliable, and intentional in everything I do.
I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. I’ve watched my brand grow organically through word-of-mouth, social media, and people simply believing in my work. That means everything to me. I’ve served clients in the middle of joy, pain, hope, and transition — and they’ve trusted me to show up with excellence each time.
To anyone discovering Joviality Designs for the first time, I want you to know that this brand is more than a business. It’s a ministry, a movement, and a safe space for people who want to celebrate, heal, and create with purpose.
Whether you’re planning an event, need help bringing your vision to life, or simply want to support a woman-owned business that’s rooted in faith, creativity, and love — Joviality Designs is here to serve.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments in my journey with Joviality Designs came in the middle of deep personal grief. Not long after launching my business in 2017, I experienced multiple losses back-to-back — family, friends, people I loved. It was the kind of pain that could’ve easily made me shut down. And for a while, I did. I paused everything. I questioned myself, my purpose, and whether I even had the strength to keep going.
But in the middle of that silence, God started reminding me that even broken things can still bloom. I picked my business back up with shaky hands and a heavy heart, but I came back with a new perspective. I wasn’t just creating pretty things — I was building something meaningful. I was helping others celebrate life, even as I was trying to understand my own loss.
There was one memorial I designed for a grieving family that changed everything for me. It wasn’t a big job or a high-paying client — it was just someone who needed help honoring their loved one with dignity and love. I poured everything I had into it, and when they thanked me with tears in their eyes, I knew I was doing what I was meant to do.
That moment reminded me that resilience isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it looks like quietly choosing to keep showing up — even when it’s hard. Every setback I’ve faced has refined me, not defined me. And that’s the energy I carry into my business today: grace, grit, and God.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I first started Joviality Designs, I didn’t have a marketing plan, a content calendar, or even a logo that I loved. What I did have was a phone, a vision, and a heart full of creativity I needed to get out into the world. I started posting my party setups, favor bags, and designs on Facebook — and to my surprise, people responded. They liked, shared, commented, and most importantly, referred. That’s how my audience started to grow — not overnight, but through community, consistency, and word-of-mouth.
In the early days, I used what I had: natural lighting, Canva graphics, and raw behind-the-scenes footage. My posts weren’t always perfect, but they were real — and I think that’s what made people feel connected to my brand. I talked to my audience like I was talking to my cousins. I celebrated my small wins out loud. I showcased the process, not just the final result.
As my brand grew, so did my confidence. I started using Instagram to connect with other creatives and showcase more curated visuals. I joined local Facebook groups to network and serve, not just sell. And over time, I realized that building an audience isn’t just about promotion — it’s about value, relatability, and presence.
My advice to anyone just starting out:
• Start with what you have. Don’t wait for the “perfect” look — people connect to the real you.
• Show up consistently. You don’t have to post every day, but be present often enough that people don’t forget you.
• Engage. Respond to comments, follow others in your niche, and build relationships.
• Tell your story. People don’t just buy products — they buy into people. Let them know who you are.
• Stay in your lane. Don’t get caught up in comparison. Your audience will grow at your pace, with your people.
The beauty of social media is that it’s never too late to start — and your audience doesn’t need to be huge to be impactful. I’m living proof that you can build a brand from your living room, with faith, passion, and a phone.
