We recently connected with Jasmine Berame and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine , appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
2017 was a pivotal time in my life with so many signs that a massive change was about to take place. I resisted this change for a while, still unaware of what it entailed. But in late 2018, I made the decision to move 1000 miles away from all I have ever known to be home. To a place I had been to once, over a decade prior & in which I knew only 3 people. The first of several risks I was about to take. There, nestled in the Redwoods and ferns, I found myself, I dove deeper into personal development & self healing and I felt truly FREE. Not even a year into the move did I take another risk, of learning about modalities that I had only experienced a handful of times but following a “hunch” & using these tools to process PTSD, anxiety, physical pain & so much more. In 2020, when the world shut down I was ready to take THEE biggest risk of them all— I went all in on an emotional healing business. What started off with 2 beta clients, expanded into 7 clients and inquires coming in daily. I showed up consistently online sharing tools that helped thousands navigate the new reality we were living in. Helping them process anxiety, grief & experience a sense of freedom. My life’s work came through this series of risks.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jasmine Berame. I certify wellness practitioners and spiritual beings in EFT tapping and Reiki. In 2018 Reiki found me, in the midst of what many would call the beginning of my “Spiritual awakening” and over time made it know that I was meant to be a reiki practitioner. Tapping found me shortly after, when I moved to the Redwood forest, and really needed a somatic tool to help me process past experiences and PTSD. Formerly, I have been known as an emotional empowerment coach, and bring this knowledge and wisdom into my trainings. However currently what lights me up is providing– education and embodiment to wellness practitioners and entrepreneurs. Over the last 5 years I have helped in providing emotional freedom and empowerment to thousands of people globally and have certified nearly 50 persons in reiki alone. Currently, I am curating certification courses that have 3 components– education, embodiment and expansion. It’s my goal and life’s work to help the next wave of practitioners be the most confident and embodied in the industry.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Embodiment is hands down the most helpful thing in the spiritual and wellness field. There are way too many reiki and tapping practitioners who are not practicing their own “medicine” if you will. And honestly, they maybe never have. It is my opinion that lack of embodiment is risqué for multiple reasons. One being that the practitioner is not as confident in their craft when they are not using it themselves nor practicing consistently. And two the paying client will not receive the best session because of the practitioner not feeling confident or knowing what they are doing. When working with the energy field and someones wellbeing it is really important to know and trust what you are doing will help them.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My goal has always been to provide the most profound experience for my clients. When guiding long term healing clients through their emotions the results spoke for themselves. The breakthroughs clients would receive and the referrals they would send helped create the reputation I have today. And the consistency I upheld, made me the go to practitioner for reiki, eft and certifications with my followers, moving forward.
