Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmin Waters. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jasmin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
For years, I knew I was designed to be more significant. I fully support people I love, and I am the happiest when they succeed and get everything they want. At some point, I thought, now it is my time. Being a mom/parent is always a challenge. School drop-offs/pick-ups, doctors’ appointments, play dates, after-school activities, you name it! The program is complete. I have a hard time finding a job that’s flexible enough for my lifestyle. That’s when I decided to step out of my family and friends circle and offer my services to the public. I have been into social media and building websites for a long time. I know I am good at it! But I am not so good at “selling” myself, mainly because of my insecurities about the language barrier. But I decided to get out of my shell and represent and express myself as I am. Here I am, trying to be a content creator on my personal social media pages and a social media manager and website designer on my business pages on my personal, and finally taking THE risk! Being vulnerable. But as long as I believe in myself and work hard, this can’t go wrong!
Jasmin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am 31 years old and was born and raised in Germany. Then, I moved across the country and settled in Portland, Oregon, with my family.
I got into the social media world as it is forever evolving. It lets me express my creativity and personality.
Luckily, I was able to better my skills by creating websites for family and friends, as well as their social media. I know my value, my strength, and my abilities. I know what I can do, and I am finally ready to share it!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Mouth to mouth.
As I worked for my family and friends, they referred other people to me. As they know, I am very skilled and fair-priced!
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I e-mail, text message, and call my clients. I want my clients to be happy so I can be happy. I am candid and open in my conversations. Yes we are working together but I want everyone to feel comfortable
