Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmin Haley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jasmin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Every mission-driven company has a story, and mine began in the depths of burnout and grief. The foundation of my business, Legacy Scaler®, was built from a need to reclaim my voice—a voice that had been silenced by societal pressures, professional challenges, and, ultimately, the weight of loss. But it wasn’t just my voice I sought to reclaim. This journey was deeply personal, rooted in the memory of my mother, a strong woman of color whose voice never reached its fullest potential.
When my mother passed away unexpectedly, her absence left a profound void in my life and in the world. Her strength, resilience, and potential were inspiring, yet the systemic barriers she faced prevented her from truly fulfilling her dreams. Her story became my catalyst. I realized that by lifting my own voice, I could honor her legacy and pave the way for the future of my two daughters, showing them—and other young girls—that they, too, have the power to rise, speak, and create their own legacies.
Legacy Scaler® is more than a business; it’s a movement. We are on a mission to help others scale their own legacies through education. Education, for me, is the first line of defense against health disparities and the cornerstone of freedom. It equips individuals with the tools to break barriers, transcend limits, and achieve their fullest potential in both their personal and professional lives.
Through leadership development, curriculum design, and communication coaching, we empower individuals to refine their voices and use them effectively to inspire change. Our work bridges the gap between potential and action, enabling leaders to transform their lives and their communities. For me, this mission isn’t just meaningful—it’s personal. Every story of transformation reminds me of my “why”: to honor my mother, inspire my daughters, and contribute to a world where every voice, regardless of background, has the opportunity to be heard and to make an impact.
The heart of Legacy Scaler® lies in the belief that our legacies are not just about what we achieve but how we empower others along the way. My mother’s story and my daughters’ futures fuel this mission, and it is my greatest privilege to amplify voices and nurture legacies that transcend generations.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who are just learning about me, I am the founder of Legacy Scaler® and Beyond the Prophy®, platforms that empower leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals to amplify their voices, share their stories, and create scalable legacies. My journey into this field was deeply personal and transformative. I never set out to be an entrepreneur—I found this path through adversity, grief, and the determination to create a better future for myself, my family, and the people I serve.
I started my career as a dental hygienist and educator, but I experienced the heavy toll of burnout. Working in healthcare can often feel like an uphill battle, and the same passion that drives us to serve can also lead to emotional and physical exhaustion. It wasn’t until I faced the devastating loss of my mother that my perspective shifted. Losing her so unexpectedly forced me to reevaluate my purpose. I realized that her voice—a voice filled with untapped potential—never had the chance to make the impact it could have. That realization became my driving force.
I entered the world of leadership development, public speaking, and curriculum design to reclaim my voice and honor my mother’s legacy. It also gave me the opportunity to escape the source of my burnout. Today, I help leaders develop their leadership skills and reclaim their own voices.
I’ve built Legacy Scaler® to provide a suite of services, including:
1. Leadership Development & Coaching: Equipping emerging and senior leaders with the skills they need to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
2. Public Speaking Mastery: Helping professionals craft compelling messages, enhance their executive presence, and deliver impactful presentations.
3. Curriculum Design & Educational Consulting: Developing transformative frameworks, training programs, curriculum design, and workshops that empower individuals to overcome leadership challenges and thrive.
What sets Legacy Scaler® apart is our commitment to sustainable growth and emotional intelligence. We don’t just help our clients grow professionally—we help them align their work with their values, their purpose, and their long-term vision.
I’m proud of the tangible impact my work has had on others. From helping clients land six-figure speaking engagements to coaching leaders on navigating difficult conversations, my work bridges the gap between potential and actionable results. I’m particularly proud of the frameworks I’ve developed—like the HEART Methodology and the Legacy Framework—which have been transformative for individuals and organizations alike.
For me, this work is more than a career; it’s a calling. It’s about showing my daughters that they can achieve anything, empowering others to reclaim their voice, and ensuring that leaders are equipped to create equitable, inclusive, and lasting change.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the most transformative lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that everything I created had to be perfect before it was shared with the world. For much of my life and career, I believed that success was directly tied to achieving perfection. This mindset stemmed from a mix of societal pressures and my own desire to excel in every endeavor. However, as I built my business and navigated personal challenges, I realized that striving for perfection often led to paralysis, preventing me from taking the bold steps necessary to grow and make an impact.
The backstory of this lesson is deeply tied to my journey of overcoming burnout and grief. Losing my mother unexpectedly was a turning point in my life—a moment that pushed me to reevaluate my purpose. Yet, despite the profound loss and the clarity it brought, it still took me two years after her passing to muster the courage to leave my toxic work environment and start my business. For so long, perfectionism held me back. It planted a paralyzing belief that I wasn’t worthy, that I had to have everything figured out before taking any steps forward.
Those two years were a battle against self-doubt and fear. What finally propelled me forward was the realization that my mother’s unfulfilled voice could be honored through my own. I committed to taking imperfect action, even when I wasn’t ready or didn’t feel “enough.” Years of therapy helped me confront the underlying insecurities that fueled my perfectionism. I learned to see imperfection not as a flaw but as a necessary and valuable part of growth.
Since then, I’ve never stopped. Building Legacy Scaler® and Beyond the Prophy® has been a journey of imperfect but relentless action. My frameworks, programs, and events weren’t flawless at the start, but they were impactful. They allowed me to connect with people, create change, and honor my mission in ways I never imagined.
This lesson has become a cornerstone of my work. Whether I’m coaching leaders, developing educational programs, or speaking to audiences, I emphasize the importance of progress over perfection. Perfection is an illusion that stifles creativity and stops us from making a difference. The most powerful legacies are built not by those who wait for the perfect moment but by those who take imperfect, courageous steps toward their goals.
Unlearning perfection has allowed me to create a sustainable business, navigate challenges with resilience, and inspire others to embrace their own imperfections. Therapy and imperfect action have been my anchors, keeping me moving forward even in the face of doubt.
If I could leave others with one takeaway, it’s this: Your voice, your ideas, and your impact are too important to hold back while waiting for perfection. Start where you are, with what you have, and let your legacy unfold in its beautifully imperfect way.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting is never easy, especially when it means stepping away from a path you’ve walked for as long as you can remember. My journey began in the 11th grade, when I entered the healthcare field and fell in love with dentistry. For years, it felt like my identity was intertwined with this industry. But eventually, the weight of burnout, the pull of unfulfilled potential, and the desire for something greater nudged me toward an uncertain but necessary new path.
Leaving dentistry to venture into the unknown was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. It wasn’t just a career change—it was a leap into uncharted waters to build skills and a business model entirely outside of healthcare. I had no guarantees, no clear roadmap, and countless moments of doubt. What I did have was the conviction that my life and my work could have a greater impact, and that this new chapter could honor my voice, my passions, and my purpose.
The lessons I learned during this pivot were life-changing. Building a business outside of dentistry taught me the value of a personal brand—how your work can transcend titles and industries when you serve from the heart. It showed me the power of consistency, hard work, and determination, even when the odds feel stacked against you. Most importantly, it humbled me in ways I never expected. I had to unlearn old mindsets, embrace discomfort, and show up daily with resilience, even when success felt far away.
After five years outside of dentistry, I returned—not as the same person who left, but as someone with a renewed perspective and a wealth of lessons. That time away solidified my belief that the greatest transformations come when we step out of our comfort zones and into the unknown. It’s in those moments of uncertainty that we discover who we are and what we’re truly capable of.
For anyone contemplating a pivot in their career, business, or life, know this: it will be challenging, but the growth on the other side is immeasurable. You will question your decisions, face setbacks, and encounter moments where you wonder if it’s all worth it. But if you stay consistent, humble yourself to learn, and serve from a place of authenticity, you will build something far greater than you imagined.
Your pivot may not lead you where you expect, but it will take you exactly where you’re meant to be. And that’s the beauty of embracing the unknown—it’s where the magic happens.
