Jared , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
Well even though I’m known for being a song wittier actually in 2020 maybe right before Spring time I started playing around with an app called picsart beginning of the pandemic creating art for songs like singles. One day I just started spending a lil extra time on a logo and that logo actually ended up being the logo to my clothing line and merch line “Paradise Club” I started. I started adding the logo to hoodies using the T-shirt app surprisingly I honestly made a lot of sales and demand got to heavy for placing the orders through just the app and waiting a week to receive the hoodies and ship out so then I actually found a manufacturer to drop ship which definitely sped up and boosted production and sales.
Jared , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Honestly I got my start in the music industry being Aaron Reid’s creative director even tho I was an artist to be real. He taught me what I know about the business, as far as networking and how to conduct myself professionally let me sit in on sessions he had etc actually. Learned to not be just one dimensional and always keep multiple cards up my sleeve for sure. To basically be flexible in situations where regardless of what’s needed to bring value and be valuable to the situation. Which over all lead to me becoming a full time songwriter actually and clothing designer.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Doing good business and having a clean and good reputation for sure. Reputation is super important regardless what industries people are in. A good reputation will open up doors faster than talent can.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Not being greedy and always being willing to sit back at first and learn whole heartedly without ego or entitlement.
