Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jared & Nicole . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jared & Nicole , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Eden Supper Club was created to be space to cultivate creativity. A platform to create experiences unlike those spent at restaurants. Something unique and intentional with each dinner. We’ve been blessed to have had so many people trust us to take them on a journey. Coming out to our public events, our restaurant take overs, inviting us into their homes for privates, and even catering weddings.
The wedding we catered for was one of the biggest events we have ever served, it being 175 guests. What a moment in time for our team to come together, accomplish our goals, cook some delicious food, and have the wedding party so pleased they ask us if we could do brunch in the morning. Warming souls with food is why we love doing what we are doing. It provides us with a lot of fulfilment.

Jared & Nicole , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
“For the culture” is our mantra, and we feel that is all encompassing. We love food, and the culture behind the industry. Diversity of perspective to continue pushing what we do forward. Creating a space where we can push the walls of a dining experience. The food, the service, the vibration. Pushing our technique, our understanding of how to push the flavors of local ingredients. Creating a community of people who share in the same passion for the cultivation of our industry. Our dinner series we’ve started this year titled ” Dinner @ Chucks” will be a prime example of how this past year has inspired us in our directions with food. Creating more than just intentional food, but a curated experience from start to finish. Wanting to go beyond the plate and into a more embodied experience with the person next to you. While also making food you will remember.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
The idea of taking a different path is pretty scary. Having experience in this industry from top to bottom, has allow for all of us to have a very unique perspective. And inspired the idea to do things differently. It’s uncertain, it feels like deep water without land in sight, but when you feel you can provide something to this world through you creativity, sometimes the path less walked is the one you have to travel down. It requires a lot of belief in yourself, and people around you that believe in you too. But, the value of bringing value just through what you believe in, is the gas the allows you to push through the hard times, where most throw their hands up and quit. The value to self in not giving up, and doing what you feel more than what most feel, can bring you to the exact spot you wanted to be. Its worth it.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
We’ve hit plenty of road blocks along this journey. Each one had a lesson. Sometimes it’s easy to lean on what people say, and you quickly find out a lot of times words do not match actions. Pivoting from potentially great career opportunities because those who were running the show weren’t able to keep their words to their actions. Working as sub contractors we’ve had to let go of other opportunities to fulfill contracts, only to have those contacts canceled last minute. Find a way to fill the gaps as independent chefs has become another skill set in our belts.
