Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jared Dean Galindo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jared Dean thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
As I mature with myself, it reflects in my music, however it has become so much more than just the art I create. I’ve realized the influence that I have on people and I want to make sure that I stay consistent in pushing people in the right direction. This world is starving for leaders & I will make sure that I represent nothing but that. We have one life to live and often times we are in the way of ourselves. I want to continue to help people break out of the box they put themselves in, so they can prosper and learn to be the best version of themselves & that translates to self love. I’ve been there before. Going through life everyday without having intention. Once I started to change my mindset and be purposeful with my way of thought, speech, & action, my life started to change drastically. I want to see more people succeed. That’s my mission.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Music has always been a form of expression for me, but I’ve wanted to take it further through skill. I’ve taken the time to educate myself on how the industry conducts business, DAW programs, vocal engineering, etc. I want to remain independent and for anyone that wants to follow the independent path, you’re going to need to do much more than just being a self songwriter and artist. I think what separates myself from others is that I’m not hoping for my life to change or for the internet to discover me. I apply pressure every day in the real world and reassuring that making moves that make sense in order to grow in this industry. It’s not easy & quite like the current west coast state of mind, “… it’s a marathon.” – Nipsey Hussle. I’m also a firm believer that one of the best gives we have is to give back. I give back to my followers and other artist by giving them the knowledge that has taken me up to this point. I’m confident in what I’m doing & failure is not an option. Too many people self doubt for no reason and I don’t want that to happen to one’s that look up to me or work with me for that matter. Self mastery is biggest take away from all of this. Without self mastery, working your way up in this industry will be much harder. I allow my followers to see that I take care of myself first, physically, mentally, & spiritually because I want to set an example of how to get the most out of yourself. We are our greatest asset.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn is that you have to drop everything you’re doing in life, put your back against the wall, & dedicate all your energy to your “dream”. If you are a “do-er” in life, you will make it happen. I encourage that if you’re chasing your dreams or have a vision of who you want to be, to make the time. The confidence has to develop from putting in the work. I speak from a position of someone that has had to put in the work with great discipline in order to see results. It truly separates skill from talent. If it’s something that you feel like destiny is calling you to, failure is not an option & you’ll know when you’re in the right direction. You see, I believe everything operates out of purpose. You need to have pure intentions towards your purpose or “your reason why” otherwise, I would ask, why are you doing the things you do? When you operate out of purpose, you will never give up and be prepared for the opportunities that cross your path, otherwise known as “luck.”
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
If there is any one thing to harp on in any business such as music or other forms of art, it’s authenticity. I have built my reputation in the music market, let alone my fan base, by being authentic. Whether it’s from a personable interaction or across social media, I am always true to who I am. These days music can be easily fabricated and so can the celebrity. So, it’s important to show the world how real and how human we are to the core of our existence.
