Jaquenta , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you’re open to it, can you talk to us about the best (or worst) investment you’ve made. What’s the backstory and the relevant context behind why you made the investment

My best investment was purchasing a shed and turning it into a clothing shop, as I brought this idea to reality I learned a lot in the process. I learned the rules and regulations also the guidelines of how to properly open this business and having the building Zoned to its area.. I made this decision of having a building so that Zipsie would have its very own home base..

My name is Jaquenta, Fashion to me is like honey to bees I can not live without it.. As a little girl cutting up clothes with my mom or just seeing her be creative with her cut up pieces , it inspired me to come up with my brand , Zipsie “Let your fashion speak for you “. My styles is expressive.. i believe everyone should be able to express there confidence through their fashion.. I offer Women, Kids, and Men Urban clothing.. how I solve my clients problems I would redo they order to their likings.. Zipsie brand is different because we set a bold style for everyone to look and feel their best with comfort..

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Entering my brand in a lot of vendor events, fashion shows and collaboration with other entrepreneurs is what I think helped me with reputation within my market. Being consistent with posting my brand and meeting a lot of new people to work with..

How did you build your audience on social media?

I started posting consistently different content and pictures of my brand.. I started getting a lot of insight from event creators wanting to collaborate in fashion shows. I started posting videos of the fashion shows with models walking in my clothing so it built a good audience from collaborating and posting. My advice is to just Stay consistent and Go out there..
