We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Janina Souders. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Janina below.
Alright, Janina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I have always been drawn to the design and aesthetic look of things; on websites, in stores, fashion and nature, etc. I feel one can portray a specific message to an audience through design and photography as well.
My mission is to grab the attention of our customers and patients through visually pleasing graphics, photographs and designs. Whether it is through an email, printed material, or the work we have done to further the beautification of our building, I feel that the look we portray is important. Our goal is to inspire and educate our patients regarding their health and wellness. I am excited and grateful to be part of a team that focuses on the improvement of peoples’ lives and their health journeys.

Janina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was always an artistic child growing up. I loved drawing and creating art, and it always felt like something I should do. When I started thinking about what I wanted to major in when I went to college, something in the design and art field was always in the back of my mind. Despite that, I considered going into Occupational Therapy instead, a pretty distinct difference from art. I even went and shadowed at a local hospital to learn more. However, the more I thought about it, I asked myself if that was the field I truly felt I belonged in. My mind kept going back to design. I decided to major in Graphic Design and realized speaking to an audience through art was my calling.
Currently, I provide design services through the creation of social media posts, email campaigns, private product labels, website design, sign designs and more. I even worked on some design aspects I never thought I would, such as updated building mockups and design layouts for our office, which has been really fun. I am proud to be a part of a team that works together for a good cause – to help people learn and embark on their own health journeys and to provide support.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist is being able to create something that will have an impact – whether that is an impact on a specific person, or a positive impact on our business and team as a whole. I love creating lifestyle photos and making something that has a dynamic look to send a message. What I find rewarding is seeing the emails or images I built bring more traffic to our website or allow our coupons to be utilized by our customers.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission driving my creative journey is to make a change. Health and wellness has always been a passion of mine, so to be able to combine my two passions (design and wellness), has been a dream come true. I want to be able to use my abilities to help our company educate others and make a positive impact.
