We were lucky to catch up with Janice Robinson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Janice thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
When I started my newfound practice, I was uncertain about the direction it would take. However, I was determined to make a positive impact on the world in any way possible. My goal was to use my knowledge to help others, just as I wished someone had done for me. I wanted to set a positive example for my family and friends, be of service to others, and make a meaningful difference. Despite not knowing exactly what form this would take, I knew in my heart that I had to make it a reality.
A profound moment for me along this journey, oddly enough, has come more recently. I have seen the need professionally and personally for awareness around self-mental status; Our emotional, and spiritual status to be tended to in a way that is against the normal path. And I realized that the energy and the space that I can hold for others is such an important element in what I bring to the table.
You can have all of the certifications, training, and degrees in your field, however, a very important piece to bridging what you know and what others need to learn or seek to know is that delivery makes all the difference to someone.
A defining moment for me came across my awareness after having critical life conversations with one of my children. He is the youngest of three and is getting ready to transition to his own space on his path and has had his own set of worries and questions. These are all normal things that one would question when first going out on your own into this world. When you have to learn how to do life with people outside of your extended family and circle of friends. When you realize that not everybody thinks the way that you do. Nor should they. It was with very recent conversations with my son that I realized how profound the mark I made on his thought process and his actions on how he carries himself forward. The boundaries that he sets around himself and his awareness.
I realized in those moments that by me being vulnerable and speaking my truth and sharing my guidance and sharing tools and techniques with him, he can build a good foundation of self-care and self-love, self-respect.
The ability he has to reflect and be aware when he shares those vulnerable moments of his life back with me, as well as how he processes things and the steps he takes to make sure that his energy is protected and that his feelings are considered in all situations. It makes me see even more clearly why it’s so important to do my work.
The clients I have had the pleasure of meeting along this journey for the last five years are truly remarkable. There have been countless moments that have left a profound impact on me, making it difficult to pick just one that stands out. Each experience has been significant in its own way, providing me with the assurance to keep progressing and growing on my path. It has also given me the ability to offer my experience and wisdom to others who are looking for alternative answers. I am grateful for the opportunity to hold space for them and walk alongside them on their journey.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Over the past couple of years, my passion for facilitating events and workshops has grown tremendously. I now have experience leading training sessions, retreats, and even hosting at my home space in addition to managing a farm in Aurora, IN. It’s truly amazing to see how organically things can come together when the right people are in the right space.
The services that I currently provide in my practice, one on one with people are reflexology, Reiki energy healing sessions, ionic foot detoxes client-centered, imaging halo therapy, Brain Tap, and more!
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Apart from my certifications, training, and knowledge in my areas of expertise, I believe that my commitment to continuously showing up for myself and my personal practice is what allows me to evolve and grow both personally and professionally. This repetitive ability to walk the talk has been the most profound piece that I have learned and continue to practice. that is a key part of what allows me to succeed and provide the space and energy from my clients in my practice that they have grown to appreciate.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
In my personal experience, the most effective way of gaining and retaining clientele is to be authentic and vulnerable. By showing your genuine self, you can connect with your clients on a personal level and let them know that you are a real person too. It’s important to share insights and provide guidance to help them overcome their challenges and continue moving forward on their journey.
