We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jane Lowe. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jane below.
Jane , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always struggled with being comfortable with myself, believing in myself and self confidence was absolutely non-existent in my life. I got into this industry from a former friend that I will always be grateful for, even though we have parted ways. She had gotten me a pole dance 5 class pass for my 25th birthday. I of course, was skeptical and associated pole dancing in a not so positive light because my sister was an exotic stripper for a while. I was also scared of shame and judgment from other friends and family.
So, the day comes for my first scheduled lesson. I was super shy and uncomfortable at first but quickly realized how supportive everyone else was. I was also absolutely mesmerized by my instructor. She made it look so graceful and elegant and I remember telling myself….I CANNOT wait to look like that some day. Fast forward 10 years later, now all my students and anyone that sees me perform says “You make it looks so beautiful and easy.”
Pole dancing is the ONLY activity that I have ever stayed consistent with. Pole has challenged me in so many ways mentally and physically. Its has been one of the top reasons along with personal development work that has boosted my confidence….so confident that I had finally signed up in my very first pole dance competition. A competition where I competed against 17 other girls….and placed in the top 10…..after coaching MYSELF…and I am beyond proud of that.
My main mission is to help people (because pole is for everyone) is to help people gain their strength and confidence in being comfortable and happy in their own skin….because know what its like to have that absent from my life.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
-Starting my business from scratch during COVID. – Coaching myself through a competition, placing in top 10.
Never in a million years did I ever think I was capable enough to do either….and here I am.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being a support system for others where they can feel safe, comfortable and at ease.
