Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jane Li. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jane, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
When I was working for the art gallery, I met many artists whose works range from oil painting to contemporary art. Some of them are exploring the power of social media to increase their influence and exposure to potential clients but few of them know how to start. As a social media strategist and content creator, I have a more comprehensive perspective on this field. When I noticed one of my friends was confused by her performance on the Internet, I asked if she needed my help. I reviewed her post and quickly studied her account and target audiences. I then revised her caption and selected visuals to make it easier to catch the eyeballs. The post got 1K+ likes&collects and hundreds of comments after the revision, boosting exposure and engagement within one week. It helped my friends while encouraging me to dig down in this field professionally.
Jane, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I specialize in digital marketing, especially in social media strategy, media buying, and content creation. I have three years of experience working for brands and individual artists. What drove me in this industry is the passion of creating content when I was a high schooler. I was a fan girl and created my first social media account to post the art I made for the boy band I was crazy about. Things happened so quickly when one of my creations was circulated thousands of times — I gained 8K+ new followers overnight. My interest in social media was seeded from that day and paved the way to study digital social media at USC.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
NFT is just another new type of art and expression and expression needs connections between people. If NFTs provide the sensation you want, it’s a good art. If you could not find the connection with them, just forget about it.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
NETWORKING! Creativity is based on so many things but idea exchange always sparks new ideas. I was a super introverted person earlier in my journey and I was fine with it but still I would encourage myself to talk with different people if I had a chance. People are different and the difference shapes new insights through communications.
