Jane, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
In 2014, after relocating to the area the year before, Jane—a dedicated realtor—recognized a growing need for personalized assistance in time management and task delegation. She founded Coastline Concierge to help both locals and vacationers streamline their to-do lists, whether by handling everyday errands or curating unforgettable travel experiences. Long before services like Instacart existed, Coastline Concierge was already offering pre-stocking for vacation rentals, securing dining reservations, and crafting tailored itineraries. What began as a way to simplify life for others has since grown into a premier service dedicated to making every stay seamless and stress-free.
I will say that it did take a while to build the business, obtain clients and give people a clear understanding of what we do. In the beginning, it was a lot of knocking on doors, attending networking and getting our information in front of people on a continual basis. A lot of it was out of my comfort zone but I have learned what and how to implement plans and ideas. I have had a wonderful support system, my husband, family and friends have always been available to help and now we have a few employees, and I could not do it without them!

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Coastline Concierge originally started as a way to provide personalized assistance to both locals and vacationers, but it wasn’t long before our background in real estate led us to an unexpected yet natural expansion into property management.
The turning point came when a fellow realtor, familiar with the high level of service we provide, recommended us to a client looking for property management. This client didn’t want to work with a large, impersonal company but instead sought a smaller, more hands-on approach—something that aligned perfectly with our concierge services. That first client, who we are proud to say is still with us seven years later, marked the beginning of our journey into property management.
As word spread about our commitment to detail, reliability, and personalized care, more homeowners sought us out for property management services. From overseeing vacation rentals to handling maintenance, guest services, and home care for absentee owners, we built a reputation for treating each property as if it were our own.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Over the years, we’ve explored many different marketing strategies to grow Coastline Concierge, but the most effective by far has been word of mouth, client reviews, and referrals. There’s no better testament to the quality of our services than a happy client sharing their experience. Many of our long-term clients have come to us because someone they trust recommended our services, and that kind of organic growth has been invaluable.
In addition to referrals, maintaining a consistent social media presence has played a major role in keeping our audience engaged and attracting new clients. By showcasing what we do, sharing client testimonials, and highlighting the value of our services, we’ve been able to reach people who may not have even realized how much easier we could make their lives.
Beyond digital marketing, community involvement has also been instrumental in our success. By actively participating in local events, networking with realtors and business owners, and supporting our community, we’ve built strong relationships that have naturally led to business growth. Being a trusted, recognizable name in the area has allowed us to connect with more people who need our services.
At the end of the day, our focus has always been on providing exceptional service, and that has been our best marketing strategy.
