We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jamorris Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jamorris, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

I have tried to make money but all I have come up with is 5bucks in royalty from streams so basically I work to make ends meet and use the extra cash I save up to promote and release my own singles.

Jamorris, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

It simple all my music is made on my phone in my own spare time awell as mastered and mixed from my phone. I am a natural artist.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

All I wished is I was more ambitious in the beginning instead of just freestyling for fun with my friends all the time. I should have tooken my music more serious when I was beginning out in my career.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I’m from the projects in Tampa Florida. The rest is history….
