We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jamir Miller a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jamir, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
My ambition for my legacy is to be known as a confident, self-motivated, and courageous woman who chose to follow her own path and pursue her aspirations, giving her all in the process, rather than proving a point to others and living a life dictated by others.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My company, Righteously Unique Boutique, LLC, is an online clothing boutique that began operations in August of 2019. My store is known for offering one-of-a-kind, stylish casual and formal wear for women of various shapes, sizes, colors, and ages. The accomplishments we’ve made thus far, as well as our capacity to thrive despite the many challenges we’ve faced, are what I’m most proud of about my shop. Our mission is what separates us from others. Our mission is to empower, support, and strengthen women’s self-esteem.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Establishing a relationship with your client is, in my personal opinion, the most effective technique for developing your clients. They want to be able to rely on someone for the long haul. This, in my opinion, is the firm basis of a client that is on the rise, vibrant, and engaged. Also, in this day and age, social media has a significant impact on boosting your clientele. People can communicate with one another and make decisions about what they wish to buy through social media. Users can see fast product evaluations, how pricey a product is, and what influencers are endorsing on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and others.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I like to think that I grew my social media following by creating a comfortable atmosphere. You want to be a part of your followers’ community in a meaningful way. If you comment on their posts, for example, it’s likely that they’ll do the same. My recommendation to anyone just starting to create their social media presence is to stay consistent. Consistent posting is beneficial. Keep track of when your followers are most likely to be online on social media; I like to post when I know my clients are. If it helps, create a schedule or calendar. For instance, you might elect to post at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 12:00 p.m. on Sundays.
