We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jamie Rodriguez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jamie below.
Alright, Jamie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Founding NashBash Miami was the ultimate test of taking a calculated risk in the music industry. As a Miami native now based in Nashville, my vision was to build an independent cultural bridge, bringing the diverse, contemporary sounds of Music City straight into the highly competitive landscape of Miami Art Week. Conventional wisdom said an unestablished festival property couldn’t command immediate authority during one of the most crowded cultural weeks in the world.
But as a student of high-performance psychology, I’ve learned that ‘life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you,’ and that growth only lives at the edge of your comfort zone. I chose to reject the safe route and step fully into the high-stakes arena of large-scale event production. Through Jrodconcerts Media, we executed a massive plan: securing partnerships with global brands like Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines, locking in top-tier co-headliners like Moon Taxi and Maggie Rose, and completely taking over the iconic Miami Beach Bandshell.
The risk paid off exceptionally. The inaugural edition didn’t just succeed; it completely shifted the narrative, drawing thousands of fans and establishing a brand-new festival tradition. That experience taught me that absolute certainty doesn’t come from waiting for a stable market—it comes from having a compelling vision and the relentless drive to execute it.

Jamie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At my core, I am a media founder, event producer, and cultural bridge-builder operating at the high-stakes intersection of live music and digital journalism. My journey into this industry was driven by an unyielding hunger to elevate how live music culture is documented, experienced, and archived. Beyond standard coverage, I have been uniquely entrusted by legendary artists and their teams to preserve historic shows and iconic musical occasions; most notably, I have been handed the honor of preserving the upcoming farewell tour for the legendary Judy Collins.
Through Jrodconcerts Media—which spans high-authority media coverage, an acclaimed podcast series, and large-scale event production—we provide comprehensive cultural archiving. We solve a critical problem for artists, brands, and fans alike: in a fragmented digital landscape, we create definitive, high-impact narratives that stand the test of time.
What deeply sets this brand apart—and what guides my everyday vision—is that my work is entirely fueled by an extraordinary ecosystem of close relationships, community leadership, and deep cultural pride.
On a personal and foundational level, my vision is anchored by my girlfriend, Shelby Webb. As a dedicated Spanish tutor and a prominent civic leader in Tennessee, Shelby embodies the spirit of community impact and education. Her commitment to civic leadership and cross-cultural communication constantly inspires my own drive to build meaningful, community-centric platforms like NashBash Miami.
Furthermore, I believe that high-performance execution is a team sport. I am driven daily by a fiercely loyal, close crew of friends and collaborators who happen to be some of the most respected, boundary-pushing forces in the modern music scene. My immediate inner circle and creative crew includes powerhouse artists like Paul McDonald, Maggie Rose, Katie Pruitt, Andrew Leahey, Moon Taxi, and Margo Price, among many others. We don’t just work in the same industry; we challenge each other to raise our standards, disrupt traditional models, and create art with absolute integrity. This collective energy directly impacts the scale and authenticity of every event I produce and every archive I build.
Intertwined with this network is a profound connection to my roots. As a proud Colombian-American, my daily vision is shaped by a desire to bring that vibrant cultural passion directly into the American music scene. Founding NashBash Miami during Miami Art Week was a natural extension of this identity—it allowed me to build an intentional bridge marrying the soul of Nashville’s songwriting community with the diverse, international, and heavily Latin-influenced energy of Miami.
I am most proud of my track record of turning bold, high-risk ideas into thriving, authoritative cultural assets, backed by global partners like Delta and LATAM Airlines. I want potential followers, clients, and fans to know that Jrodconcerts Media represents a new standard in media production. We don’t just curate content; we engineer environments where music, culture, and community collide to create lasting impact.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Building a meaningful reputation in the music industry isn’t about self-promotion or building a corporate hierarchy; it is about cultivating real warmth, an uncompromising commitment to excellence, and an unshakeable foundation of trust. As a student of high-performance psychology, I’ve learned that we aren’t here to simply manage circumstances—we are here to architect beautiful experiences that bring people together. I try to live by the standard that you get what you tolerate in yourself first, which means holding my own creative and production work to the highest possible benchmark out of respect for the culture we are documenting.
That dedication to high standards has allowed me to build an ironclad reputation of trust across the entire music community. On one side of that equation is a fiercely loyal, close crew of friends and brilliant artists like Paul McDonald, Maggie Rose, Katie Pruitt, Andrew Leahey, Moon Taxi, and Margo Price. Because we share a deep, mutual respect, we challenge each other to create art with absolute integrity. That same foundational trust is why folk and rock royalty have entrusted my team with historic milestones, including the incredible honor of preserving the upcoming farewell tour for the legendary Judy Collins.
But what truly completes this ecosystem—and what drives my everyday vision—is the close, personal relationship of trust I share with our audience. Music fans are incredibly intuitive; they can feel when something is authentic. Over the years, I have worked tirelessly to ensure that our audience knows they can trust our musical taste and judgment implicitly. Whether they are tuning into a podcast episode, reading our media coverage, or buying a ticket to an experience like NashBash Miami, they know we have poured our hearts into creating something genuine for them. By continually operating from a place of growth and contribution, and by keeping our focus entirely on serving the music and the community, our reputation has naturally grown into something I am incredibly grateful for.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The absolute driving force behind my creative journey is a deeply intentional personal mission: to live in vitality, master true abundance, secure deep connection, and accelerate maximum contribution. In a fast-paced media landscape where content can often feel disposable, my goal as a founder and event producer is to reject mediocrity and engineer spaces where music, culture, and community truly collide. I believe that a compelling future is what allows us to thrive, and I consistently ask myself my new primary question: How can I master true abundance and deep connection while elevating the lives of those I love?
This mission is entirely fueled by the beautiful forces of connection and community in my life. On a foundational level, my vision is anchored by my family and my girlfriend, Shelby Webb. As a dedicated Spanish tutor and a prominent civic leader here in Tennessee, Shelby constantly inspires me with her devotion to education and community impact. Her presence, alongside the unwavering support of my family, reminds me that true prosperity is measured by the safety, comfort, and growth of the people you cherish most.
Furthermore, this dedication to deep connection extends directly to our Jrodconcerts Media podcast audience. Over the years, our listeners have trusted my musical taste and judgment implicitly, and I view that relationship as a sacred responsibility. My goal is to never just distribute content, but to genuinely serve that audience—sharing knowledge, wisdom, and encouragement without expecting anything in return.
This sense of contribution also shapes how I honor my roots. As a proud Colombian-American, I am driven to bring that vibrant cultural passion directly into the mainstream American music scene. Founding NashBash Miami during Miami Art Week was a direct expression of this identity—it allowed me to build an organic, cross-cultural bridge marrying the authentic songwriting soul of Nashville with the diverse, international, and heavily Latin-influenced energy of Miami. Whether my team and I are producing a major festival property alongside global partners like Delta and LATAM Airlines, or capturing a historic concert archive for a legendary artist like Judy Collins, the mission remains identical: to always operate with absolute love, integrity, courage, and mastery, and to accelerate maximum contribution by serving our community with everything we have.
