Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jamie Parker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jamie, thanks for joining us today. One deeply underappreciated facet of being a service provider is the kind of crazy stuff that happens from time to time. It could be anything from a disgruntled client attacking an employee or waking up to find out a celebrity gave you a shoutout on TikTok – the sudden, unexpected hits (both positive and negative) make the profession both exhilarating and exhausting. Can you share one of your craziest stories?
One of the craziest stories happened during the crash around 2010. I was mowing the yard at one of my short sales and I saw a car drive by the house. I told myself when they come back to the stop sign I was going to stop them and speak with them to see if they’re looking to buy a house. They then tell me that they were both looking to buy a house and that they were going to sell their respective homes as they were dating…shortly thereafter I sold both of their houses and help them buy the house of their dreams.
A couple of years later, I receive a call that they want to sell the house. They had apparently broken up and now one of them had a new partner in the house that they had refinanced with and they were breaking up. It ended up being extremely messy with them having a civil attorneys as well as the normal real estate transaction stuff. At the end, though, one of them came up to me and said I know that we weren’t easy to deal with, but I knew you were the right agent to handle this and that you could take care of anything that I threw at you.

Jamie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am from Atlanta and bring 18 years of experience in helping clients sell, buy or invest in real estate. Before real estate, I was an orchestra teacher. I taught music in the Metro Atlanta area schools for more than 17 years and hold three degrees in education from Georgia State and the University of Georgia. I’m also a professional saxophonist, having performed with Bobby Vinton and Ben Vereen and currently freelance with various churches.
I transitioned from education to being a top realtor. I have been a member of the Agent Leadership Council while at Keller Williams and am now a 7xICON agent, trainer, and mentor agent with eXp Realty. I have averaged 40 plus transactions a year as a solo agent for the last 8 years and sold 70+ million dollars in real estate in 2020-24. I have been featured on the cover of Top Agent magazine as well as being spotlighted in Shout Out Atlanta, Atlanta Real Producers and Atlanta Voyager. I was also featured on an episode of The Negotiators reality tv show and two episodes of HGTV House Hunters. I’m currently the host of an Emmy nominated TV show called American Dream set to debut soon.

What Problems I Solve for My Clients
Real estate can feel like one big maze — pricing decisions, inspections, negotiations, and those late-night Zillow searches that somehow lead to lake homes three counties over. My role is to take all that stress, confusion, and second-guessing off your shoulders.
I help clients move from overwhelmed to confident, handling the problems most people don’t see coming:
• Understanding shifting market trends across Gwinnett, Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, and Walton
• Avoiding overpricing or underpricing
• Making listings shine with strategic marketing
• Keeping buyers competitive and educated
• Guiding investors toward smart long-term plays
My clients know they’re supported from the first conversation to the closing table — and beyond.

What Sets Me Apart
I bring 18 years of real estate experience, seven ICON Awards, a teaching background, and a genuine passion for serving people well. But what really sets me apart is how deeply rooted I am in the community I love.
I’m honored to serve in multiple ways, including:
• Publisher of Brookwood Family Living, a magazine dedicated to connecting families, celebrating neighbors, and strengthening community

• Owner of Atlanta Strings, a music store in downtown Lawrenceville supporting local musicians, students, and arts programs

Along with real estate, music, and community leadership, I bring a joyful mix of experience, service, and heart. And yes — I communicate, I listen, and I always show up ready to serve.

What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m blessed to have had a lot of meaningful opportunities, but a few stand out:
• Becoming a 7× ICON Agent at eXp Realty
• Serving families for 18 years in Metro Atlanta
• Publishing my book 21 Days to Surrender, written after my grief counselor read my journaling and encouraged me to share my journey with the world (https://a.co/d/9VfFXIf)
• Teaching national classes on Love Yourself to Production, helping agents grow from the inside out
• Leading Love Yourself coaching groups, walking individuals through a 21-day mindset transformation that builds confidence, self-love, and healthier thinking (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1DIk2Y35u7UgjVuko33NXWwpjrcz-TgJnP0-T247Zr_Q/mobilepresent?slide=id.g2eda1cd5405_1_75)
• Building businesses that give back to the community — both in real estate and through Atlanta Strings and Brookwood Family Living
Every part of my work ties back to one mission: helping people grow, heal, move, and move forward.

What I Want People to Know About My Brand & Work
My brand blends expertise, service, faith, heart, and community. I’m grateful for every client, every closing, every coaching session, and every chance to lift someone up.
When you work with me, you’re getting:
• A full-time, high-level real estate expert
• A strategist who knows Metro Atlanta inside and out
• A communicator who keeps you informed
• A marketer who makes your home stand out
• A community leader invested in the areas I serve
• A coach who helps people rediscover their worth and potential
And someone who feels blessed every day to do what he loves.
I love what I do in my clients can feel that. I build genuine relationships and friendships with them. Real Estate is a relationship business.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
There are several books that have impacted the way I think about life and my business. “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen was the first book that I read that really helped me think about my mindset. It is based on the Bible verse in Prov 23:7 KJ as a man thinketh, so he becomes. Reading this helped my self confidence and taught me how powerful my thoughts are.
The Bible has also been instrumental in my business and personal life. It is the ultimate personal development book. Following the golden rule has been an important part of my success. Early on, I called it a covenant (which is sacred) of care.
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie is a must read. It teaches you how to listen and be present. Great stories of how Dale used this to build his business.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is another foundation read. He studied some of the most successful people in America for along period and he identified 13 things they all have in common. He teaches about the power of the subconscious mind.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
2020 was a difficult year, personally. In a three months time period, my wife left our family, my dad died of COVID, I had to fire the manager at the music store I own, had a big car wreck and had a huge insurance claim on a rental property. I also sold the married home and moved into a new home with my two kids in the same time frame. I could either rise up or fold up. Through faith, I was able to rise up and had one of my best years ever. God provided referrals and business for me while I was adjusting to being a single dad and mourning at the same time.
