We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jamie Nicole a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jamie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I adore this question beyond words.
Years before I ever started my own business, I began asking myself about what legacy I could leave behind in my name. What sort of memories could I make and create here that would withstand time and be told for years to come?
I used to believe that it had to be something major; something extreme and grandiose. I would think of curating a fortune to leave my family, and I would dream of cultivating a “success story” that meets industry and societal standards of fame and fortune.
But, as time went on, I realized that this wasn’t all that a legacy is.
What if the way to leave a legacy – for me – was to simply leave the world, my community, my family, better than it was when I first started…
All in all, I hope my legacy will be one of joy, community, and passion. A way to connect people near and far with sweet smiles and a common interest – good food!
I hope to be able to provide my community with the same support it has shown me and beyond. I would love to leave a legacy of compassion and goodness and to set my family, friends, and neighborhood up for success. Whether it’s small and sweet or big and bold.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who are new to me and to Sally’s Sweet Eats, welcome! My name is Jamie Nicole and I began my baking business in 2019. Yep, right before the pandemic!
We did unfortunately face some bumps, but what good story doesn’t have its setbacks?
We reopened early this year – 2023 – and have been overwhelmed with gratitude at the outpouring of love and support we have received. From green markets, deliveries, and online orders we are always happy to help satisfy your sweet tooth!
Sally’s Sweet Eats began with 90% love and 10% spite when I was desperate to find quality vegan desserts near me but found that the options were so few and far between. So that’s where our mission began: To share sweet smiles with vegan and non-vegan friends alike who just want some delicious desserts.
I mean, we don’t think that’s too much to ask for, right?
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of meeting new friends has definitely been local green markets within our community. We love being able to get out into the town, meet and chat with new and amazing people, delve into delicious desserts, and make amazing memories all while bonding over good food.
The excitement hasn’t gone away. The feeling of joy and anticipation as we pack up for the morning setup and get ready to spend a day bonding with fellow local vendors and share sweet smiles is something that we always look forward to.
The Royal Palm Beach Green Market was the first we ever experienced and you can still find us there most Saturdays during the season. There are tons of talented and wonderful vendors, an array of stands offering incredible goods, and it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday! The market is open from 9am-1pm, so come check it out and find your new favorite local spot!
We also have recently joined in at the Tanger Outlets thanks to Florida Fresh Markets, and we have fallen in love. Come say hi on a Sunday from 9am-1pm, get your shop on, and grab some goodies. We’d love to say hi!

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
Here at Sally’s Sweet Eats, we make each and every product by hand. Baked with love (and a dash of dedication!), our products are quality tested and checked before heading out to markets, being dropped at deliveries, or seeing off their shipping.
Growing up in a family who bonded over delicious desserts – especially when the holidays would roll around – it was always a treat to dive into goodness and bond with loved ones and friends. As I got older, I had the honor of getting to work in the kitchen with friends and family to make these goodies that we would all get to enjoy.
When I became a vegan quite a few years back, I have to admit it was hard missing out on those classic holiday favorites. Skimping out on Christmas cookies, missing out on birthday cakes, and not getting to be fully present in the family fun wasn’t ideal. So that’s where my journey began! Testing recipes again and again to mimic my childhood favorites, researching new ideas and old family recipes to alter, and sampling various ingredients to see how they made a difference in each recipe, I quickly realized how much of a difference was made when I went above and beyond to satisfy not just myself, but also the candy connoisseurs around me.
From cookies, cakes, and all sorts of specialty products in between, we pride ourselves on our research and utilization of the best ingredients for the best recipes. We believe that the care and craft that we put into our sweets shows where it matters most. One of our goals is that, while all of our desserts are 100% vegan, they’re not only for fellow plant-based peeps. We make sure that our products are decadent, delicious, and for anyone and everyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth!
