We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jamie Murphy . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jamie below.
Alright, Jamie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Hi ☺️
My name is Jamie Murphy and I’ve been a nurse for 34 years
OM IV Hydration & Wellness Center is my business and my passion💗
2 years ago my daughter became very ill. She has a rare syndrome called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. We weren’t getting help from western medicine. She was down to 90lbs and no end in sight
I had heard of vitamin drips but I associated them with hangovers 🤦♀️
Those vitamin IVs saved her life!
I began to dive into the different health benefits of vitamin drips 🍊🥦🫐
I had already switched my nursing career towards holistic medicine over 10 years ago but this was a new concept for me. No one I’m my area was offering this service.
Fast forward to today. Not only is my daughter healthy but I have been able to be a part of helping others in their healing journey ❤️🩹
Some of my clients have have experienced relief from:
Lyme disease
Chronic fatigue
Lupus
Low libido
Anxiety
Long haul Covid
Chronic dehydration
Crohn’s disease
Decreased immunity
I am a single mom who lost her nursing job over a vaccine. I took out a home equity loan and lots of credit card debt to make this a reality. As the first IV clinic in the area, I’ve had to do a lot of educating as most people haven’t heard of it before but it’s been extremely fulfilling 💕

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve been a nurse for 34 years. I specialized in OB/L&D/NICU but changed course 15 years ago and began my holistic nursing journey. I became a nurse health coach and began working with clients that were looking for changes in their life but understood that it would involve all aspects of their life. Marriage struggles for instance require changes in self love, finances, health practices and spiritual guidance. 2 years ago when we found help for my daughters syndrome via IV vitamin therapy, I knew there were so many other people in my area that could benefit too! Pharmaceuticals and western medicine have their place in healthcare but the more you can do naturally the better. We listen to what complaints or symptoms the client is having and decide what vitamins would best suit their needs. We have helped clients with: Depression/Anxiety
Weakened immune system
Lyme
Lupus
Cravings for nicotine and alcohol
Low energy
Mental fog
Long haul Covid
Dehydration
Athletic performance
Low libido
Chronic Fatigue
CVS
Weight loss
We are not a quick fix but here to help them get over the hump. We talk with our clients and give them other tools to improve their health thereby making life more enjoyable. We discuss meal prepping, stress reduction techniques, sleep quality and self care. I have been a massage therapist for 24 years and help clients release physical stress.
What sets us apart is that we aren’t here for the money. We are here to make a better world one beautiful person at a time 💗
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I was planning to open my business in November 2022. Unfortunately due to long wait times with the state, I was finally given the approval to open the end of January 2023. My dad was scheduled to have triple bypass surgery on Valentine’s Day so I decided to wait and open once I got back and he was settled. His surgery was a success but the next day we found out that my beautiful 17yr old niece was diagnosed with a rare cancer. My focus shifted to my family. Of course there were many other setbacks and heartbreaks as well. We just couldn’t catch a break. I eventually opened in May of 2023, 6 months after my scheduled date. I was behind on bills, and incredibly stressed physically and emotionally. I am a single mom/dad and felt responsible for everyone and everything. The vitamin IVs saved my daughter’s life and I don’t know where we would be if my daughter hadn’t had them. That thought kept me going. I knew my daughter wasn’t the only one out there struggling for help. My “Why?” was helping others so they never had to experience the struggles my daughter had.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was working in a nursing home during Covid. My role in administration switched to floor nursing because we lost a lot of staff. Once Covid settled down I decided I wanted to move back to OB. I was on the floor 2 weeks when I ended up losing my job because I wouldn’t take a vaccine. I had been considering opening a vitamin IV clinic so I took that as a sign it was what I was meant to do!
