Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jamie Moore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jamie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I love this quote by Hannah Brencher that says, “Be where your feet are.” Between being a full time nurse, and part time photographer busyness can be a norm, but I’m learning to just take one day at a time. Whether I’m in the clinic, or with a couple about to get engaged I stay present to them. I just want to give people my best; do right by whoever walks into the clinic, and create art that people will love for years to come. To leave it all better than I found it. That’s the dream and desired legacy.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Growing up I’ve always been that girl with a camera in her hand. In youth group I was always the one who’d take the pictures at events. That just followed me through life, and I think if anything is creatives need to take a moment to pause and remember the journey and see how far we’ve all come.
I got my first canon rebel t6 in my mid 20’s after moving to the Fort Worth area to be a part of a church plant. I took that little camera every where with me. I know I drove my friends crazy at the time, but photography is and always has been one of my ways of soaking in the details of a memory. Eventually I started getting asked to take people’s engagement photos, family photos, and graduation portraits. When I met my now husband, Michael he jumped in right along side this passion of mine, and eventually got me a Canon 5D Mark IV.
I now use a Canon R5, and predominantly a 35mm lens. I have officially done just about everything under the sun from a couple of intimate weddings, events to births. Births have been a recent favorite, to see the journey some of these mamas take to bring their sweet babes earth side is a true honor to watch.
I love helping people tell their story. So whether it’s an event you’re having me at, or family pictures, my promise is that I’m going to help you create memories. I’m going to give you a story of the day you can have to hold on to forever.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
People are always going to be the biggest and best ways to grow a business. Nothing speaks more of your work than when people love what you’ve done so much that they post it and share. I recently had the busiest photography year, and it was full of people reaching out saying, “I heard about you from so and so, and just love your work.” I’m also grateful for the people who return year after year.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I hope that my work speaks for itself for people. Since photography is more of a side gig I am more selective in what I take on, and I feel this helps me get to give my best in these endeavors, and have a good turn around time for clients.
