Jamie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes, we absolutely take vacations – and we consider them essential, not optional. At The Kerezsi Real Estate Team, we’re a family-run business, originally founded by our mom, and now operated by three of the five sisters as licensed Realtors, with another sister serving as our conveyancer – the key liaison between our clients and the title companies. One thing we’ve mastered over the years is the art of vacationing without abandoning our business or our clients.
Travel is something we’re deeply passionate about. It fuels our creativity, broadens our perspective, and helps us stay grounded and inspired – all of which make us better people and better Realtors. The days in this business can be long and intense, but the years fly by – and we believe in making memories, not just transactions.
That said, we’re very intentional about how we step away. We set clear expectations with our clients before traveling. Real estate is more than a career; it’s a lifestyle. So while we may not be fully unplugged, we’re transparent about when and how we’ll be available. We use away messages and designate specific times to check in with active clients, while ensuring new inquiries know exactly when they’ll hear from us. We also make sure to have trusted team members covering showings and boots-on-the-ground needs – because if there’s one thing you can’t do remotely, it’s open doors!

We’re The Kerezsi Real Estate Team – a family-run, women-led real estate team rooted in passion, purpose, and people. Our story began with our mom, who built a thriving real estate career while raising five daughters. Her work ethic, heart for service, and commitment to doing things the right way inspired us to follow in her footsteps.
