Alright, Jamie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
I was fortunate to have been raised by a remarkable woman who was not only my mother but also my rock and guiding light. As a single parent, she worked tirelessly to provide for me and instill in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and kindness.
Losing my mother last year was a devastating blow, but it has also given me the opportunity to reflect on the profound impact she had on my life. One of the most important lessons I learned from her was the power of unconditional love and unwavering support. No matter what path I chose to take, my mother was there cheering me on, offering advice, and encouraging me to reach for the stars.
Looking back on my journey, from my first jobs to my entrepreneurial ventures, I realize that my mother’s belief in me and her guidance were instrumental in shaping me into the independent, hardworking individual that I am today. Her words of wisdom, such as the importance of providing excellent service and treating others with respect, continue to guide me in my professional endeavors.
I am eternally grateful for the love, sacrifices, and invaluable life lessons that my mother bestowed upon me. Her legacy lives on in me, giving me the strength and confidence to face any challenge that comes my way. Thank you, Mom, for everything.

My name is Jamie Henderson, and I am a dedicated professional driven by a profound commitment to excellence. I am fueled by a blend of passion, kindness, caffeine, and innovative thinking. Firmly anchored in the belief that life is not a quest to find oneself but a journey to create oneself, I have diligently crafted a career trajectory that reflects this ethos. Over the years, I have gained experience working for different companies and picked up various skills along the way. I have learned from many different people who have helped shape who I am today.
When I first moved to Saint Louis at the age of 20 from Galesburg, Illinois, I began working in the fast-food industry and quickly rose to a corporate management position. Despite the long hours and low pay, I pursued higher education to gain more skills. I obtained my first degree in Business Management from Harris-Stowe State University in 2014. However, obtaining a degree did not automatically translate into career advancement. I realized that success is measured by the combination of experience and knowledge one possesses. This realization marked the beginning of my journey to becoming the person I am today.
After leaving corporate management in the fast-food industry, I worked in various positions for different corporations. It wasn’t until I landed a role at the city of Saint Louis as a real estate receptionist that I truly felt a sense of growth. Working alongside talented and knowledgeable individuals, I was eager to excel. However, after a few years, I recognized that there was limited room for personal and professional growth within the organization. This realization, coupled with a personal tragedy in 2019 when my husband was murdered, led me to reevaluate my career path.
Following this tragic event, I made the decision to venture into entrepreneurship. I started doing private consulting with my company, Pink Satchel Consulting, working as a business developer and coach. My primary goal is to help establish brands or expand existing companies by increasing revenues by turning passions into paychecks. I also assist clients with developing strategies to attract new customers and engage with existing ones. My mission is to help individuals and teams by supporting their goals and providing them with a blueprint for success. I love to see the profound change in others by helping them achieve their goals and find their authentic selves. Helping others in a long-lasting way is the greatest reward for me.
I work with clients from various sectors to help them achieve their goals. I assist individuals and organizations with building their brands and discovering their unique gifts. I provide guidance on how to leverage these gifts to improve financial standing and increase wealth. I educate clients on business management, branding, and financial literacy principles that can be applied to everyday life to achieve financial goals. I work with a wide range of clients, from motivated professionals to small businesses, offering specialized services such as business development, branding, web design, SEO, real estate acquisitions, and transitioning from employee to entrepreneur. I currently work individually with 3-5 clients monthly to assist them with their projects.

This would allow me to gain the additional knowledge I needed to thrive as a music executive and learn music supervision. Additionally, to obtaining my degree from The Los Angeles film school, I am now graduating and recieving my Ph.D. from Harvest Christian University in Dallas this year. My Ph.D. is in Business Management specializing in Strategy and Innovation. Drawing upon a foundation in Business Management, Administration, and Entertainment Business Management, I bring to the fore over 19 years of seasoned leadership experience.
Throughout the course of my professional journey, I have garnered commendations for my exceptional aptitude as a leader, underscored by outstanding communication skills. A proven track record punctuated by adept management of company finances, adherence to project timelines, meticulous record-keeping practices, and adept negotiation of contractual agreements attest to my proficiency in operational oversight. Moreover, boasting over 11 years as a seasoned content creator, I encompass a diverse skill set that spans the gamut from brand strategist to business development specialist, real estate investor, web designer and SEO specialist, artist management, and Adobe Creative.
My ardor for technology is deeply ingrained, underscored by certifications in digital marketing, website design, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Analytics, and social media advertising. Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started building my audience on social media by defining my target audience and creating high-quality content that resonated with them. I used trending video templates and other techniques to stay consistent and make consistent content that helped my brand grow. I engaged with my audience by responding to comments and messages, and collaborated with other influencers in my niche to reach a wider audience.
My advice for those just starting to build a social media presence is to first define your target audience and create content that is relevant and engaging to them. Be consistent in your posting schedule and engage with your followers regularly. Collaborate with others in your niche to expand your reach and credibility. Use hashtags and tags to increase the visibility of your content, and regularly analyze your results to see what is working and what is not. Building a social media audience takes time and effort, so be patient and stay focused on providing value to your followers.
