We were lucky to catch up with Jamie Hadfield recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, thanks for joining us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result?
“Be blessive not impressive”
Everyone goes into a job or pageant interview with the goal to impress the interviewer or judge.
But that’s actually not the way to impress them.
You impress others by blessing them.
How do you bless them?
By making sure every answer you give tells a bit of your life story, etc..
And in fact: storytelling is the secret to winning or being hired. Because when you tell stories you’ help your audience establish some type of connection with you. If they connect, you’ve blessed them, and once you’ve blessed them you have impressed them.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I decided to be the free resource I wanted when I was a broke Teen and Miss pageant contestant. My philosophy is to give everything for free on Instagram and Tik Tok. I have learned that the more I give for free I.e., coaching tips, advice, etc., the more clients I get. The less you gatekeep your wisdom and expertise on social media, the more money you make.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Just staying consistent and showing up… posting on socials even when I don’t feel like it, showing the behind the scenes of my life even when I look ugly and the opposite of a pageant coach… all the times you show up online especially showing your life helps build trust and trust equals a sale
