Jamie, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My parents provided stability, trust, determination, communication, praise, a unconditional loving home and they supported my dreams & ideas. They just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. I always saw them working hard and never giving up, they worked together always finding a way. I am a Colorado native who was born & raised in Longmont. I attended grade school through college here following in my grandparents & parents footsteps. My parents both worked hard to make sure my sister & I had great role models growing up. My little sister & I had an amazing childhood & upbringing. I have strong faith & family values. We are definitely a close family. My passion is helping others. I want everyone to feel their best & look their best everyday. I strive to always turn negative into positives & set good examples for my children no matter whats thrown my way. I want them to know that anything is possible if you set your mind to it & never give up always follow your dreams. My parents were always there for me no matter how many dreams I had they always jumped into my world to try and help me achieve them. My parents inspire me, they have laid the foundation for my life. My mom provided a beautiful example of how a woman of integrity, faith & commitment operates. I followed in my mothers foot steps being a entrepreneur for health, wellness & natural skin care. As a young kid my mother & grandmother were diagnosed & struggled with RA & Diabetes. My Dad was an amazing provider & romodel for our family demonstrating the true meaning of unconditional love. He had to take on a lot with us two girls while also caring for our mother. In 2019 my Dad, Sister & I were my mothers care givers while she recovered from a double knee surgery. I don’t know what I would have done with out their support & believing in me no matter what I set out to do.

Just Jamie Skin Studio has been serving the Longmont & Boulder County community since 2019. Jamie Gaston L.E., CLC is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified life & wellness coach and is certified in a large variety of esthetic services, wellness & life coaching. A Colorado native who was born & raised right here in Longmont. My passion is helping others. I specialize in Derma planing, Nano Needling, Microdermabrasion, facials & lash extensions. My passion & love is for Make-Up Artistry & Photography, that sets me apart from others. I am so intrigued by Unique Make-Up Artistry & work closely with photographers as their creative director , creating fun & unique concepts to shoot for magazines. I was honored to be a make up artist in the Fall of 2021 & Spring of 2022 for The Denver Fashion Week. I want everyone to look & feel their best everyday. I absolutely love photography & aspire to be the editor & chief of my own magazine in the near future. What’s your signature look? I would describe my signature look as Uniquely Creative & Bold. I love a full force glamour flawless finished look & leave a little sparkle where ever I go! I like to Amplify with highlights when doing natural looks & I always finish with a Dewey glow.

What is your favorite beauty trend right now?
I love the airbrushed make up HD Make up look with full coverage & Glowing finish. I love using the crisp bold colors. Jamie offers a wide variety of skin care services such as Dermaplaining, Nano Needling, Microdermabrasion, Anti-Aging Facials, make up application, Hand wax, LED Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna as well as life & wellness coaching.
Jamie was also voted make up artist of the year in 2020.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Some of the struggles I faced as a younger kid was being bullied about my appearance. I wasn’t as outspoken as some other kids & was looked upon as the shy quiet one. My self esteem was low. It was then I got into make up to cover up my insecurities & feel more confident in myself. I found I had such a passion for make up artistry. I realized I couldn’t let negative people steer me in another direction. I had to soul search & learn to love myself as I was. I encountered some bumps in my life & went through a divorce, became a single mother of 3 & went back to school after 20 years to become a licensed Aesthetician. I wanted to re build my Self Confidence so I embarked on an incredible journey as Miss Longmont for America. In school I graduated with honors in the top of my class with perfect attendance & a 4.0 GPA in Alpha Beta Kappa. I wanted to show my kids that you have to work hard & never give up to achieve your goals. My make up artistry has appeared in numerous magazines & on several magazine covers last year. Everything that has transpired in my life has made me the person I am today & keeps preparing me for my true purpose.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

I am such a people person, I love meeting new clients & seeing my repeat clients. I feel I get to know my clients & they come back because they love the attention to detail I put into their service & they don’t feel rushed. How you present yourself & what energy you bring to your clients makes all the difference in the world. I always go above & beyond to offer something extra that stands out from everyone else. My products & facials have the highest quality with a home town feel.
