We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jami Ogden a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jami, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
My interest in art started when I was very young and regardless what new path i started in life I’d always end up back on this journey!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Jami Ogden, the owner of Artdorable Studio in Wolverine, Michigan. I started this business to share my passion for the creative arts which is something that no matter how crazy life gets I seem to always fall back into! I’ve always enjoyed painting with different materials and mediums but I wanted to set myself apart from others in the area by offering a “paint your own” ceramic and pottery studio where the sky is the limit on teaching and learning new techniques daily! So if you are ever in the area, stop in for an experience you will always remember!!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My 100 mph brain I think is what drives my creativity, it not only brings me peace but it is how I express my innermost self. I’m constantly setting goals of new things to learn and there is alot of trial and error in this business!!! If I had a particular large goal I’m working towards that would be to someday have a storefront studio in either my town or nearby.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
How can you support artists….? A few ways that would make a huge impact would be to shop your local artisans, go to that craft show or craft fair you see advertised, order homemade from a striving artist rather than a box store. And when you do find something you love to purchase from a local artist make sure to spread the word, word of mouth goes a long way in our line of work!!!
