Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jami Nelson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jami , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

I think it takes the ability to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. The willingness to see fear as a tool and a guide, not as a voice that rules. I also think it takes the ability to start before you are ever ready. You must be willing to try new things and evolve and grow and never stay the same. I think you must fall in love with your customer rather than your product. I have been turned down on ideas and products and licensing options by the dozens. Especially with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. They have very strict laws around raw and unpasteurized juices. I have learned to pivot and look at things differently or find a brand new approach!

Jami , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I grew up in Elk River, MN and have since called the Brainerd Lakes Area my home for the past 2 decades! In the fall of 2016, I enrolled in the worlds largest nutrition school-The Institute of Integrative Nutrition out of New York, where I earned my Holistic Health Coaching Certification.

Out of my desire to create healthier options and lifestyles in the Brainerd Lakes Area, I began my business-Just Juice. I started the business in the spring of 2017 as a side hustle. I was in the hospitality industry so eating healthy and taking my time to do so, wasn’t often an option. Once I started drinking the juices and feeling the wide variety of health benefits, I just had to share this with our community! I started out in one spot and then it slowly grew into several locations where people can now purchase the juice right off the shelves. Schaefers in Nisswa and the Crow Wing Food Co Op In Brainerd have it available weekly! It has also grown in other ways like deliveries and the grab and GO pantry at the Nisswa Totem Pole where you can enjoy fresh salads, wraps, kombucha and more!
That side hustle, along with life coaching clients, teaching workplace wellness workshops, and speaking engagements has now become my career! I get to make juice weekly in small batches. This ensures the freshest, most incredibly tasting beverages that are very nutrient dense and naturally promote healing and bring about natural health and wellness. I want people to know that feeling good doesn’t have to be so complicated. Start with one small change and you will blow your own mind about what is truly possible for you in this life.

For anyone looking for life coaching-I want you to know that through getting clarity on your thoughts and what actions they are causing in your life is a total game changer. We are in our own way most of the time. It is my true pleasure to watch people awaken to their truth through coaching. Living the life you dream of is possible.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think being a product of my product is what has helped me grow and scale. I am living the life that I want others to have. I am an example of what is possible. Natural health and energy, freedom in my schedule and how I spend my time. Working daily on mind management, improving my health and wellness and leveling up in any way I can. Being honest and transparent when things don’t work or need to change or evolve.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to learn was that No, doesn’t mean the journey is over. It means find another way to make it happen. I believe that rejection is the Universes’ protection. It is bringing something new and more aligned or will serve a bigger purpose in my life. I feel like if we are told no, to never question it. That no means no, and in some circumstances that is true. In business, if you truly believe whole heartedly in what you are doing, you will find another way, in fact that is the fun part!
