Jamese, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later

If I Could go back in Time I would’ve took myself serious , I’ve always wanted to be a hairstylist, but I never took my dream serious. I value my work, but I didn’t value my time. worked my first shop when I was in high school 2010 …. But I’ve never open my eyes to really see how blessed I really was, I had a lifetime goal that young ladies wish they had by working in the shop at a younger age at the time. But I never gave up. I just really took my time. By me having a child at a younger age. I had to look at things a little Different. But me Working for myself I had to have a lot of Crying nights talking to God to make this come true

Hi, I’m Jamese from Birmingham Alabama , Owner and CEO of Money Stylez . Ive Been a Hairstylist/Loctician for 13 years I’ve officially been working for myself for two years, sometimes I wake up and still think it’s a dream. I have always wanted to work for me,definitely for something I really truly love to do is being a hairstylist./Loctician. But I Never thought in million years that this could happen Right Now .God has blessed me in so many ways before I worked for myself. I used to work at a company called kamtek worked there for three years. Thought I would never be able to leave the money was good but my passion and love wasn’t there. A lot of people didn’t know I used to cry every day and every night while I was at work the nights I used to cry in the car praying to God open my eyes and bless me with something that I want to do, and that day, as I prayed to him, God has blessed me with more than enough God took the fear away from me, leaving a job that was no longer for me. It made me open my eyes my mind, my heart, and most definitely my faith in him. you can do anything you put your mind to never feel like you have fail because each day is not easy, when you lead the way and don’t have a doubt in your mind that I cant do it. From that day forward I haven’t looked back. My businesses have grown. I officially have new merchandise of Majik Rootz Growth oil

So whatever your dream is, write it down pray about it and go forward. Don’t worry about the people behind you with negativity. Don’t worry about the people who judge mental. Don’t worry about the people who tells you they don’t think it’s a good idea. when you believe in yourself you will not stop, quit, or slow down .. We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

building your audience on social media is very time-consuming but very much so worth it. See I’m very old school passing out business cards. I’m a very face-to-face person, but it took my kids to really open my eyes because they’re the future. They are on TikTok , Instagram all the time and that’s what your most targeted people are on every day, I had to come to reality that there is no such thing is I can’t take five minutes of my time to post a picture. I don’t care if that same picture has been posted every five hours. My job is to at least target just that one person and I’m thankful that one person can share or like a post and then can be two that two can be three that three can make 20 so social media is very important in the world that we are living in

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The best strategy of growing, your clientele is be real be honest, be Confident to your work. Be patient and believe in yourself every client every person they come my way I have so much confidence in work. Cause two things someone wants to trust in their Loctician or hairstylist is confidence and trust because they are valuing their time And their money
