James, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career

I would introduce children to more skill/interest focused learning at an earlier age so they are able to explore more details about said skill/interested and be more informed to make solid decision earlier in life. Too many children are left with indecision by the time they graduate high school that they waste either scholarship money or their own funds trying to figure out independence. I’ve educated many students on how to monetize their interests and educate them on finances in order to maintain stability.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My business Outside The Box Solutions is a solutions based organization with ranges from Financial Independence, Nutritional Consultant, Conflict Resolution, Healthy Relationship Consultation, Customer Service Relations, etc. A large portion of my business functions are centered toward Youth Development which stems from my over 20 years experience in Youth work, I’ve learned that getting youth to a certain level of understanding translates to all ages more than the antithesis.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

As a young adult I experienced homelessness and was able to persevere to the point that I am now a homeowner.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn the eating habits that have plagued my family with ailments for generations which helped me to heal from diabetes and become a nutritional consultant.
