We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful James Montgomery. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with James below.
Alright, James thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?
Our current modern day USA educational system is frankly very broken, especially the public school system which just indoctrinates with their obviously woke and decaying agendas. Not all students are academically oriented; versus talented creatives, artists, designers and can work best using their minds in a hands on capacity and may choose to, or prefer to go on in life to have so-called blue-collar career in the various trades, which is very much needed as there are huge gaps of skilled workers in the construction trades especially.
Many of our trade schools and trade curriculums have completely disappeared over the past few decades, dating back to the 1990’s sadly, and there definitely needs to be return to this ASAP.
I’m in strong agreement with the likes of Dirty Jobs TV show and philanthropy hero Mike Rowe, who believes a strong reinvestment in America, to create jobs and career opportunities in desperately needed, by reinstating “shop” and various blue collar oriented job training, classes, and curriculums in the public school sector, along with reopening specialty trade schools as well.
Artificial so called Intelligence/AI, along with automating everything as many of our supposedly astute, industry icons have pointed out, (even those who still peddle their own AI platforms ironically), is truly ruining the world rapidly. Why a society would choose to eliminate itself and install computer programs and “thinking” autonomous machines to literally take over EVERYTHING is truly beyond me. Artificial so called intelligence is an oxymoron of reality. It’s sadly destroying livelihoods, opportunities and real jobs for real people in swaths; especially for the need for people who are college trained and looking for entry into their chosen fields; technology, manufacturing, economics, financial, and many other industries and potential careers. While the blue collar trades continue to offer job security that AI and robots will be much slower to take over and some careers will always be in demand and needed, like the creative arts, most design services, carpentry, custom woodworking, plumbers, welders, electricians, masonry, etc.
Not everybody is cut out for the same cookie-cutter college path of undergrad/graduate desk degrees, that are becoming more and more worthless and replaced or eliminated with AI and logically instead can reinvest in Real Intelligence, with a return to fostering career paths for those who can work with their hands and minds.
Hopefully people wake up fast and choose to ignore the AI agenda, or at least fight it with common sense and boycott it all before it takes over literally!

James, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a creative, artist, designer, and I love to create and build my designs. I’m also a homesteader, grow most of my own organic food at home and love animals and nature.
I went to vocational school during high school and then went onto college at Maryland Institute College of Art, with a degree in Design. After college I gathered some work place experience and quickly went on to my own design-build systems integration firm specializing in high-end luxury design-build amenities, providing bespoke state of the art luxury amenities for both residential, corporate and commercial clientele, which I grew and then sold after 20 years. I also attained additional certificates of study in acoustics, systems integration, and lighting design as I continued my career path. One of my most successful accomplishments was ultimately being nominated as the chairman of the industry development council for CEDIA, (The Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association), as a volunteer member.
Elevated Amenities is now my current company of 10 years which specializes in unique architectural projects, along with a line of custom woodworking and cabinetry luxury goods, under the Hidenity brand. Our projects and products provide style, convenience, and an elevated standard of living, safety, security, and luxury entertainment and lifestyle values.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Hands down positive word of mouth referrals by and from your actual satisfied clients, along with their glowing testimonials and reviews online are the best source of creating new clients!

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Leadership engagement is crucial for mentoring and leading, happy and productive team members.
Your employees are huge part of your crews and organizations overall success; often working as a team towards common goals productively is paramount and they need a captain to steer and right the ship leading the way, setting all standards and expectations.
This means stepping up, proactively and taking charge to set the benchmarks, lead by example and show the right way to achieve the desired results. All while listening to others ideas, and fostering open communication and commitment from the team with their owning the goals, taking pride, earning recognition and receiving commensurate reward for a job done well.
