Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to JAMEL ROBERSON. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
JAMEL, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
When I was 11 years old, I initially realized I wanted to become a musician. Like most young boys, I grew up idolizing well-known rappers and musicians and admired their ability to use music as a means of emotional expression. I developed a deep love for the musical arts.
JAMEL, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My ability to create music that is impactful and meaningful to the audience sets me apart from other musicians. The soul is touched by my songs. I want someone listening to my music to be able to relate to what I’m saying instead of most artists today just making great party music. I’m hoping that my song will contain a message that inspires the listener to aim higher. I also want to include praise to God in my music. I already released two albums in 2019 and 2020. On YouTube, you can find me. I also have music videos accessible. I provide electrical services to folks in need because I am a professional electrician as well.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The part of being an artist and a creator that I find most satisfying is learning that one of my songs has made a positive difference in someone’s life. What we think counts, and music has a strong mental impact. I’ve already won if I can give someone hope in a world that sometimes seems hopeless. After completing my purpose, I hope that the listeners transmit the same wonderful vibes so that together, we can change the world.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Being a light in a dark world is the sole purpose of my creative path. I wish to spread optimism In a time when suicide is on the rise and everything seems to be going wrong. The ideal time to spread love is right now. Really, people need it.
