Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jameal Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jameal thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
My family and friends have been apart of this awesome journey with me since the beginning. When I first decided to create the all purpose blend it was their nonstop encouragement that helped me to start my business. They also helped me decide on the business name. Three years later, they are still some of my biggest supporters. My very first event they all drove over 2 hours to be there.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I became interested in the spice manufacturing industry because of the love I have for cooking for my family. Each of us have different allergies and I would have to modify recipes to fit our needs. After using multiple spices, I figured it would be easier to combine them and create the flavor profile I could use on everything. Once I created my all purpose flavor I compared it to other brands and noticed a lot of them contained high levels of sodium. This is what has set me apart from others. My goal is to have the flavor without high levels of sodium. I am always praised for my Seasoned Salt. This is one of the many achievements I am proud of and my customers are able to instantly notice the difference between my brand and others. I began to create more flavors for different dishes.
Most of my blends are gluten free, plant based, and keto friendly.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My career in hospitality helps to give me a mental reservoir of strength that helps me to handle stress and hardship. I have been working in hotels for the past 10 years. I currently travel full time to different properties through the US. My confidence in my character and the ability to help people in some of their more trying times contributes when assisting a more difficult guest or tackling a more difficult task. My motto is the Golden Rule, “Treat People the way you want to be treated.” When times are hard and tasks are tough, I remember my motto, take a breath and assure myself I can control the situation.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I’ve unlearned is to not hide the truth from the customers. You have to own your mistakes, sincerely apologize, and do your all to fix the mistake. Working in the hospitality industry when a problem arises. A guest had an issue with an additional charge on their card and instead of being told the truth. They were lied to and when the guest came back down to a different associate, they received a different answer. Had this first associate been honest and fixed the mistake, the problem would not have escalated.
