Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ja’me Almonte. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Ja’me, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Success, a term that in 2022 will have so many branches of definition to it. Especially depending on who you ask. For me I believe success comes from the root of your core; A defining determination to achieve your dreams, goals and aspirations. The epitome of triumph. True success isn’t just money, it comes from an overwhelming sacrifice to reach a level of freedom, happiness, and lasting peace.

Ja’me, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Ja’me Inc. started about 16 years ago and it Ultimately began with a favor to friend who wanted to become a model. I used a regular push and shoot camera to take their pictures, however once the photos came out I fell in love with the art form of photography itself. Yes I know, my story starts out as a cliche but that really was my first introduction to the industry. I went on to interviewed and write for several urban magazines back home in New York, honestly I’ve always had a love for writing, music and all things entertainment but after helping my friend get signed, a fire began growing inside of me! I went on to shoot and become a model scout for several modeling agencies. Taking the time to mature and become my own brand.

Eight years in, that flame started to engulf me, I began to educate myself on different styles of management, development, fashion, modeling, acting, overall just learning about success in this game also called the entertainment industry. I wanted more for myself… I WANTED to be the one to l build icons from the ground up! Therefore I resigned from working with other agencies to pursue my own ONE STOP SHOP style company also known as a Ja’me INC, in where the “INC” stands for INCREDIBLE!

Here I am 16 years later Ja’me Inc. has gone on to help multiple models and actors succeed in the industry. From helping models get signed, to landing acting roles, to even starting their own brands. I’ve learned to appreciate the small successes and enjoy the large ones as well

Here’s the hard truth, There’s no real smooth road when it comes to working in this industry unless you’re born into a rich family or you ultimately won the lotto both don’t equate to me. I’ve had some tough times but those tough times is what makes you stronger and that’s why when I am working on set or hired to do a job… I AM no joke! I’m serious about this business, I’m professional and I’m confident in my craft. There’s been times I’ve been turned away from opportunities because of my weight, because people can’t run game on me or because they can’t manipulate me or my brand but at the end the day my brand speaks for itself and so does my success!

For a very long time I didn’t believe in myself nor my own credibility but I knew this is what I wanted to do, so I continued to push through all the uncertain times and use those emotions to fuel my talent. I use my experiences and knowledge to help Others pursue their dreams even when they don’t quite know how to obtain themselves or don’t know what they’re capable of doing. My proudest moments with my brand is when ever I am finished shooting a client or whenever I finish a Boot Camp session with a new client and they seeing the images and their growth… That moment where they go “WOW that’s me”? Brings me so much joy and it just does something to me, it keep me going.

Ja’me Inc. is a one stop shop for all your industry needs! I am a photographer, a designer, a modeling/acting coach and developer, a model manager. I work with all types of models specializing in male model development. As a photographer I am an all-around creative, I would say my niche is Eye candy style photography. I am most known for being very honest, direct and blunt when it comes to my craft and professionalism. What I’m known for is taking someone who has a dream and ultimately showing them what their dream can become I can make something out of nothing basically (a novice into a legit triple threat). Now what sets me apart from others, this is gonna sound cliché but I will say is my DRIVE and ability to NEVER GIVE UP!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The Mission of my brand is ultimately to help bring out a clients true value something they already had but didn’t know their potential. Sometimes people just need a little push to see their own greatness.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

The answer is simple. My determination! I never let myself get overwhelmed, defeated or frustrated. I kept moving forward. See I have a personal mantra “As long as I keep moving one foot in front of the other, I won’t get burned in the fire”, in other words when life is tough and you feel wiped out, keep pushing because your break through in just a couple steps away.
