We caught up with the brilliant and insightful JaLelia Croxton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi JaLelia, thanks for joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The story behind the name “Indigo Intentionss LLC” is pretty simple. The word Indigo for comes from the term “Indigo Children”. An Indigo Child are people who are believed to possess special, supernatural traits or abilities. I’ve carried that with me for many years. Indigo is also the color of our third eye chakra so it just kind of came together perfectly. Adding on Intentionss was pretty simple because your intention behind everything is very important.

JaLelia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We’ve been in business roughly 3 years now. Before starting this journey 6 years ago, I hit rock bottom. I was feeling stuck, unmotivated, disconnected and some what depressed. I purchased my first crystal at the time, over time I realized how much these very items have added to my healing journey. Along side tons of shadow work, metaphysical items absolutely assisted in changing my life for the better. I want to be able to provide authentic items to those who need them just like I did. Overtime, what was only a hobby has turned into a great passion for me. My mission is to help everyone align, by becoming the greatest highest version of themselves. This is a safe space for you to come during your self ascension, self healing, self awareness journey. Remember, the change ultimately starts with you.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
The initial capital truthfully came from me working regular 9-5s and just being determined to invest in myself. This is a tough journey when you’re doing everything out of pocket but it’s worth it in the end.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
Yes! Some products I do make myself, which I am very proud of. Did I already know how to do these things? Yes & no. Most things took patience & research for me to learn, With the type of business I have, it has been hard finding trusted vendors but I manage well. The lesson I have learned when it comes to that is take your time, don’t rush.
