We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaketa White a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jaketa, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

I am a Christian And God Jesus is the Head Of My Life. I Wanted to dedicate my Brand to Them Because I Know That Everything I Have Comes From God James 1:17; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11). I Love Making Woman Feel And Look Beautiful Beauty is a Gift From God So I Decided to Devote My Brand To God And The Gift of Beauty That Was Given To Woman On Earth and In Heaven Heavenly Bombshell Angels

Jaketa White Is A Master Hair Stylist And Colorist Who Graduated From Paul Mitchell. She Continued Her Education With Aveeda As Well As Many Other’s In The Beauty Industry. She Has Been Styling Hair and Making Woman Feel Beautiful For Over 10 Years Now. Her Ultimate gift And What She Loves Doing Is Empowering Woman Of All Ages, Race And Nationalities to Feel Good About Themselves and Enhancing Their God given Beauty. She is a Devout Christian, And Gives Credit to her Talent and Abilities To God for Everything Jesus is the head of her life and the inspiration and Force Behind The Name Of Her Brand Heavenly Bombshell’s Because We all Have A Heavenly Divine Beauty Through the Holy Spirit inside of us. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

There was a moment in my life when everything seemed to be falling apart, but in reality, God was setting me up for something greater. I had always been passionate about beauty and empowerment, but I never imagined I would build something as impactful as Heavenly Bombshell’s Salon & Extensions. It wasn’t just a business idea—it was a vision God placed in my heart, one that would require faith, resilience, and perseverance.

In the early days, I faced obstacles that tested my faith. There were times when I struggled to find the right suppliers, when finances seemed too tight to move forward, and when doubt crept in, making me wonder if I was truly called to this. But every time I prayed for guidance, God reminded me: I gave you this vision for a reason. Keep going.

One of the biggest trials came when I invested everything into my salon, expecting things to take off immediately. But growth was slow, and I had moments where I questioned if I had made the right decision. Instead of giving in to fear, I leaned into my faith, trusting that God would provide. I worked tirelessly to perfect my craft, source the most luxurious virgin hair extensions, and create an experience that made every woman feel like the angel she was meant to be.

Slowly but surely, Heavenly Bombshell’s Salon & Extensions began to flourish. Women came in not just for hair but for transformation, leaving with a renewed sense of confidence. My Heavenly Tresse’s luxury extensions became more than a product—they became a symbol of beauty, strength, and resilience.

Looking back, I realize that every setback was a setup for something greater. God doesn’t give us a vision without equipping us with everything we need to bring it to life. I held on to my purpose, and today, I stand as proof that faith and resilience can turn a dream into reality.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

When I started Heavenly Bombshell’s Salon & Extensions, I thought success would come from having everything perfectly planned. I believed that if I worked hard enough, stayed organized, and controlled every detail, my vision would unfold exactly as I expected. But one of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that I was in control—because the truth is, God’s timing and plans are always greater than mine.

In the beginning, I put immense pressure on myself to make everything happen right now. I wanted my brand, Heavenly Tresse’s, to be an instant success. I wanted my salon to be fully booked from day one. When things didn’t go according to my timeline, I felt frustrated and discouraged. I thought delays meant failure, but in reality, they were God’s way of aligning things for something even greater.

I had to learn to let go and trust the process. The moment I stopped forcing things and truly surrendered my business to God, doors started opening in ways I never expected. The right clients found me. The best suppliers came into my path. My brand grew organically, in His perfect timing, not mine.

Now, I move differently. I work hard, but I no longer stress over what I can’t control. I know that what’s meant for me will never miss me, and what’s not meant for me won’t stay. Unlearning the need to control everything was one of the greatest lessons of my journey—and it’s one that continues to bless me every day.
