We recently connected with Jaison Wade and have shared our conversation below.

Jaison, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?

In highschool I was sorely focused on trying to fit in rather than be creative with my work, because I was doing music and youtube in middle school and high school. I was trying my best to fit in with the cool kids, but looking at where I am today it still worked out for me.

Jaison, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Jaison Wade, I am a hip-hop artist out of Anderson, South Carolina. I was dedicated to music at a very early age around 12 years old, I knew I had a passion for music when I created a freestyle in middle school because I didn’t have my project ready so I distracted my teacher by rapping and I got a A+.

My creative mind sets me apart when it comes to creating music. I always wanted to be different when I left high school. I was seeing and still to this day my peers and other people my age still clubbing having fun, while Im working my butt off trying to be successful than before. Its rewarding at the same time.

Black friday of 2022 was my most succesful day in my career. I sold out my first ever concert in my hometown of Anderson, South Carolina.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Good question, we have to start going back to looking at creative people instead of microwave people. You have people like Lil Yatchy who is terrible at music but he got the main spotlight. We have to go back to talent and gifts to uplift creative people. Its not fair when somebody who is actually talented get looked over for a wack artist.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I knew about marketing in highschool I would been rich right now.
