We were lucky to catch up with Jaimie Anand recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jaimie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?

My parents had a very unique ability to balance putting the weight of responsibility on my shoulders and providing me with guidance and support when needed. The solid backing my parents always provided allowed me to ‘jump with both feet’ and follow my dreams with courage and positivity. Ironically, even at this age I find myself reaching out to call my dad with any news, awards or accomplishments I receive. I went into the medical field after college because at that time I, like many others, believed that was what a career path looks like and that my passion for interior design was simply a hobby. Nonetheless, I continued to dabble in unique and contemporary interior design for myself, my friends or even business owners, and ultimately it took my parents telling me that it was time to put my talent and passion to better use by focusing on building this passion into a business. This is how Jaimie Anand Interiors was born. I took a detour before becoming a business owner and cultivating a brand and reputation that modern home owners and business owners were searching for, but I am forever grateful to my parents’ lessons that helped me remain steadfast and diligent in my endeavor.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

With many recent studies there is a consensus that our homes and our work spaces are an extension of our energy field. This seems to be a new concept for many, but this was something that resonated with me from an early age. I was always very conscious of the spaces I spent the most time in and decluttering and organizing was second nature. Milestones in my life (i.e. marriage, first time homeowner, motherhood) often determined what energy field was required for me to live my best life, so over the years as I was working in the medical field by day, I used all the extra time I could get to stayed focused on my passion and cultivated my craft of interior design within my own home to ensure my family and I would be living our best life. It wasn’t long before friends and family noticed and started asking for help to do the same.

Shortly after my third daughter was born, I decided to take the leap of faith and build a business that would allow me to help those seeking to perfect their homes and businesses. Eight years later and my team continues to grow, our loyal clientele has grown exponentially and our project portfolio is truly a reflection of my labor of love.

Jaimie Anand Interiors started in Austin, Texas, but has since handled projects in numerous states, including, California, Georgia and Tennessee. The awards and recognitions are an added bonus, but the positive feedback I get after each and every project is the ultimate reward.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

First and foremost is our loyal clientele that continue to refer us and share their positive experience with us. We are also blessed to work with great professionals and referral partners in our community and industry as a whole that help build our brand and our reputation. Our work being published nationwide in many print publications and the recognition with several accolades definitely helped our brands reputation. Our clients have also shared and voiced their love for our work, which always says so much. We thrive to be one of the most reputable in our industry and continue to thrive to keep doing better and growing.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The joy I see in my clients once our final product has been delivered. I love that they are so at peace and love their new spaces that we created.
