We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaime Nolan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaime, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The Anima Collective is deeply rooted in the belief that entrepreneurship is more than just building a business—it’s about personal growth, empowerment, and the strength found in community. Our mission is to provide a space where female entrepreneurs can tap into their full potential, leveraging both business strategies and personal development. This mission is meaningful to me because I’ve seen firsthand the unique challenges women face in business, particularly the feeling of isolation and the pressure to balance multiple roles.
For years, I worked in spaces where success was often viewed through a narrow lens—profits, numbers, results. But I realized that real success, the kind that lasts, is nurtured by support systems, personal alignment, and a sense of purpose. The Anima Collective was born from a desire to create a community that not only provides business tools but also fosters deep personal connections, helping women lead with confidence and authenticity. It’s a mission I’m passionate about because I’ve lived it, and I want others to experience the power of growing in community with like-minded women.

Jaime, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship. My journey into this space started as a passion for helping others bring their ideas to life while simultaneously recognizing that success is not just about doing business—it’s about personal fulfillment and alignment. After coaching women in varies industries, I saw a common thread among female entrepreneurs: they craved community and guidance that supported not only their businesses but also their personal growth.
What I’m most proud of is the sense of community we’ve built at The Anima Collective. Women come to us for support in their business, but they leave with something far more powerful—a network of like-minded individuals who are there for them beyond the professional space. That’s the heart of what we do.
The problems we solve are twofold. On the business side, we help women navigate common entrepreneurial challenges—whether that’s scaling, clarifying their vision, or breaking through mental barriers. On the personal side, we address the need for support systems, emotional resilience, and self-belief. We help our members stay connected to their deeper ‘why,’ so they’re not just building businesses, but building lives they love.
For those who are new to The Anima Collective, what I want them to know is that we are here for the whole journey—both business and personal. We believe in the power of community and connection, and we aim to provide a space where you can grow, be challenged, and find true alignment with your work and your life.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
One of the most impactful books that has shaped my entrepreneurial thinking is 10X Is Easier Than 2X by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. The core lesson I’ve taken from it is that thinking bigger and aiming for exponential growth can actually be simpler than striving for incremental improvements. This concept deeply resonates with how I approach both business and community at The Anima Collective.
The idea behind 10X growth is to focus on what truly matters and let go of the 80% of tasks, distractions, and habits that don’t move the needle. It’s about being intentional with your time, your energy, and your goals—focusing on the areas where you can make the most significant impact. This principle has been foundational in how I manage and grow The Anima Collective. Instead of trying to do everything or improve by small increments, I’ve learned to prioritize the activities that create the most value for our community and let go of things that aren’t aligned with our bigger vision.
What I love about this philosophy is that it’s not just about working harder—it’s about working smarter, being bold in your vision, and making decisions that align with the kind of life and business you want to build. At The Anima Collective, I encourage our members to embrace this mindset too, especially when it comes to thinking about their goals. By focusing on the things that create the biggest impact, we can achieve more, both personally and professionally, and avoid burnout or overwhelm.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the most challenging moments in my entrepreneurial journey came in our second year of business when we discovered a major accounting mistake. Our accountant had warned us about it, but at the time, I didn’t fully understand the severity of the issue. This created a significant financial mess that we had to confront head-on.
Numbers have never been my strong suit, and I realized that my mindset around finances had to change if I was going to steer us through this. I decided to sit down and, over the course of six weeks, methodically untangled the web of errors we had made. It was tedious and overwhelming at times, but I knew it was necessary to get us back on track. I also leaned on our accountant and other mentors, whose advice and guidance were invaluable during this time.
The key lesson I took from this experience was to always keep a close eye on the numbers—where income is coming from, where it’s going, and to listen to your accountant the first time! Now, I make sure to stay on top of the financials, ensuring that we are clear, organized, and proactive when it comes to our business. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the areas where we are weakest are the ones that require the most attention—and that we are capable of growth, even in the areas that once intimidated us.
